Ok so it has officially been 3 days without fast food. What did I say three days you mean Christa made it past 2 days of something! Wow Bajeepers! :) No but really it has been tough and I know I have been eating ALOT but I am glad it is basically all half decent healthy food. Instead of fast greasy food. Because I know I have an over eating problem when it's coming to TOM and well I have to except it there is no way around it I eat more at this time! I mean I have been over eating on things like Raisin Bran Cereal and skim milk....Pfft! Instead of like a double cheeseburger with a large fry and some chicken nuggets....now hmm lets see....I'm going with Raisin Bran!  Today is my dad's birthday I had dinner at my parents which I was mad because ok there were 4 steaks I LOVE STEAK! lol and there are 5 of us...my youngest brother doesnt care for steak he was eating chicken....my other brothers g/f comes over...OK how is it fair that a NON <--- see that NON!!! family member gets steak and I DONT! WTF!? HELLO I was really mad...so I ate my chicken....BLAH. Oh well I am content now and I had some cake OMG CAKE was so good real banana cake omg to die for! OK so I need to go home now and go watch the Biggest loser because everytime I watch that show it gets me motivated...I think it should be on everyday it makes me want to push harder and harder because  I am like if they can do it I can do it! GEEZ! Woo I cant wait for Saturday I get to do Homecoming Up-do's YAY!! I love that time of the year I get to put my artistic work in progress!  There are photo's on my myspace in the dance hair album in my pictures of past hair I have done :) Buh Byes!

YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so happy for you and so proud of you.  The munching for me eventually subsided, I really had to keep my mind occupied but you are doing it.  I'm also waiting for TOM to show up so I have been "distracted" in the food department. You also compromised b/c you didn't have steak and cake! A lot of small losses on Biggest Loser tonight, I was really surprised.  That is to be expected though and it was motivating to me in a way.  It just broke my heart to see them disappointed.  I know that I am working it hard but they are at it 8 hours a day usually. Where's your myspace page?  I want to check out the fab up-dos! Keep it goin', girl!

www.myspace.com/xchristax33x Yes very small losses for everyone on The Biggest Loser....I felt bad as well. And I felt bad when they sent the old guy home but man he did it on his own and looked great!  Probably next week there will be some big losses they always do that....big one week then barely anything the next week.

I like that show in general - haven't caught it this season.  It is good, maybe the word is realistic - to see that even working out THAT much may not make a difference in weight loss. Let's face it, not many working class people can keep that pace, so the show is not practical advice when you think about it. What is good about it is, many people have no idea where to begin with choosing right or pushing themselves in working out.  How lucky to have trainers there.   But, those trainers have typically not fought that same fight that most of us have. They may have lost baby fat from high school, big deal.

I belive one peson is down like 45 pounds in 3 weeks. I was amazed, but I mean I was talking about this with my mother....like whatever they put into their mouth they are then burning all those calories plus more. Basically it's like you're not eating, I mean you are but you're burning it all back off which to me in a way is like starvation am I wrong?

THIS is exactly why I balk at the whole BMI thing...yes, you WOULD be right about that.  If they are burning OVER the amount they take in, why, oh WHY don't they lose, all the time, regardless.  Nobody truly understands why/how our bodies react the way they do.

The show is just another contest when you sum it up.  Just like survivor, they starve.  Most of them gain at least some back.  I guess it's all in how you look at it.  Some people get weight loss surgery and starve, some people do VLCDs and stave, some people just starve.  In order to lose fast enough for a game show you have no choice but to starve.  In order to keep it off they have to do what we are trying to do now: eat healthy and reasonable exercise.  It's frustrating b/c we are not rewarded with quick weight loss but hopefully we will be rewarded with lasting results.

Obviously, no way can you compare a 50 fat gram hamburger and a 30 fat gram fry to Raisin Bran.  If these weight loss shows motivate you, like they do me, you might try watching I Lost It on discovery health.  People on their lose weight in different ways.  It generally comes on through the day.  Changing our eating habits takes time and is not easy, but it can be done.

Good job passing up the fast food!
