I tend to go with the darwinian thang...i know that for me, when i eat a lot, i continue to want to eat a lot, like I tripped an inner switch. Waking up hungry means the switch is not off yet. For me, the morning after a binge like that tends to be groggy, not hungry...at all. It is your TOM, isn't it? Last time you did this, tom was why??? Am I right??? The MAIN reason I binge (or used to, cannot call it exactly a binge anymore, comparative to what I USTA do), is stress management. Food in Mass Quantity somehow dulls your response to whatever is happening. Maybe you are having a rebound from your decision or did you...to cancel your date. That situation seemed to stir up lots of inner conflict...poor self image, not wanting to hurt others, guilt, etc. You need to think of then DO an alternate behavior when you feel down and *that* hungry. Maybe when it's your TOM or when you do feel down or conflicted, understand that THAT time of your life, YOU eat more food. Stuff down fresh fruit and veggies first, then eat whatever you want - or can - eat after that. I taught myself to go to the movies - NO CANDY allowed. Or a coffee shop alone and take a book, drink coffee or tea and just be there among other people.
