hi my peeps! i got back from an association meeting Friday & Saturday night.  i did well in the food area and the exercise.  skipped my walk on Friday (we had to leave extra early), but made it up on saturday morning - 45 minutes before the all dayyyyy meeting. Saturday i ate normally but not excessively. Friday i ate lightly until we went to a wonderful restaurant called freddie fats...excellent chinese.  I ate lots of veggies, only had one lychee martini and two tsing tao beers.  3 bites of their specialty banana cream pie...worth every bite. Last night DH had a really excellent beef stew simmering.  lots of root veggies in it:  parsnips, turnips, potatoes, carrots. had two small rolls with butter on it.  2 beers, two shots of tequila and one night cap of a cream drink (marula if you care). Home alone on Sunday. I will go to church. need new walking shoes, order a birthday cake for my littlest GS.  Big walk on our gorgeous river trail after i buy the shoes, then home to cook supper for DH.   Food plan will be very light today.  Starting off with colon blow cereal, blueberries and non fat milk. how you all doin so far????

COLON BLOW CEREAL? Oh, Neecee. I think it's wonderful that you enjoyed yourself on Saturday and were able to have a sensible serving of that pie and be satisfied. Stopping at 3 bites is hard! Sounds yummy as hell too. In fact you just put me in the mood for some pie. I don't remember what I ate on Friday! I was traveling this weekend, whi*****luded a return flight home and the airline was running a promotion where economy passengers got business class lounge access! EEK. That's a lot of potential for disaster, but I pulled through alright. Saturday's on-the-road breakfast was a gin & Sprite Zero (are you proud yet?), small croissant with orange marmalade, and a banana. Dinner was a frozen Amy's black bean burrito. I was pooped after getting home. I went to the gym after my early dinner to watch TV and picked up a Dream bar (90-calorie little nougat thingy) and a coffee on the way home, which I sweetened with some almond milk and sugar-free vanilla syrup. I worked out this morning while watching some more TV (I am gonna be so sad when Rock of Love ends on VH1) and had wakame soup for breakfast. I am trying to delay lunch because I'm not all that hungry and I seem to do better on weekends when I don't have a huge gap between lunch & dinner. Lunch is going to be an almond butter & citron jam sandwich on German pumpernickel bread. I AM SO EXCITED. I would say my last real challenge left for the weekend is getting my ass up to shop for dinner as I have zero fresh groceries left and I want to buy some shrimp and veggies. But the place I want to shop is a mini-field trip (like 70 blocks away or a quick subway ride) and I DON'T WANNA MOVE. But I don't want to just get stuck in my house with 100% frozen food either.

Gets me into trouble alla time.  mmmm....pumpernickel...i am still NOt over that pumpernickel hamburger bun in Chicago.  my Gawd it was soooo good.  hey, try eating sum fat free pudding with bananas in it..maybe make a crust of that banana crunch cereal...bake in the oven for a while...i made something like.  it rang my bell.

Been sitting at the hospital most of the week-end!  You would think it would be easy to find healthy choices to eat while there....NOT!  Anyway, given the situation I think I did pretty good!  I ate a salad from Zaxby's on Friday, regular cereal and fruit for breakfat, ate Sonic grilled chicken wrap last night.  DH is making chicken and dumplings today, so I got a grilled chicken breast in the oven, going to stir fry me some zucchini and peppers to go along with that!  Unfortunately all the exercise I have mustered is walking back and forth to and from the parking lot at the hospital!   Today is the last day at Oktoberfest on the base so DH and I are talking about running by the hospital to check on her and then going and checking that out!  Maybe try me a couple german beers LOL!  But at least I'll be movin!

oh yeah baby.  if i was there, with DH, we would polkska do! we are polka fools.  it does always shock me how it is hard to eat well at most hospitals!  The one exception was Stanford, wow, what a food court!  i am not sure what the hours are like, but wow.

That is an old saturday night live joke...in fact, many of those comedians who did that show were canooks! They had a comedic commercial that made fun of the grape nuts cereal commercial in the 70's.  It is all the All-bran cereal types, all those desigend to blow out your colon!
