Down 15 pounds
Well.. I have been tracking my weight since May.. and I am officially down 15 pounds... I am sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo excited... I did not think it possible because the scale was not moving at all for a while.... but I have had a major break thru.. I am even seeing a difference in my face... and I think I got a collar bone bout to show up!.... clothes are fitting differently.... I am amazed.....
I am second guessing my journey to WLS.... I posted my thought about in my blog for those interested in reading it... But I mean.. I am doing well and I am most grateful... I have really paid attention to my portions and make it a point to burn at least 400 a day at the gym.... If I cut up one day... I get it together the very next day and I do not feel deprived.... even my family appreciate my cooking and healthy meals... I am just so grateful.....
I admit I worry about gaining it back... but I realize it is a lifestyle commitment.... I know the second I go back to eating all wacky and stop working out, the weight will come back... like it always has in the past.... difference between today and before... I have more commitment and dedication.... I realized then I had a serious relationship with food... and now my relationship with food is different and I view food differently... I am just so grateful ( I know I said that already).. but I am really am... I just pray for continued success.. Thanks for reading!!
Congratulations!!!! That is truly awesome. I agree that it is a lifelong commitment to healthy living. That doesn't mean there isn't an occasional treat in the future, it's just not a daily thing. Exercise is such a positive thing but for some reason it can be such a challenge to work in and that is a great commitment to yourself.
I've also had a very serious relationship with food and very destructive at that. I really needed a legal separation from it!
I'm glad so many positive changes are happening in your life. I wish you all the success in continuing your healthy lifestyle.

alternative living arrangements-too funny! LOL My husband and I currently live with my folks (had some financial troubles a while back and it just stuck) and there's ice cream in the fridge. My mom insisted the she needed ice cream bars so when we went to the grocery store she got some Klondikes and Nestle crunch ice cream bars and 6 bags of Pepperidge Farm cookies (b/c the were on sale). LOL It definitely makes it interesting. She's been struggling with illness and lost a lot of weight but I think she forgets how hard it can be to try to eat right and lose weight b/c she didn't have to do that, not that I envy her situation.
Your reply made giggle though b/c it just shows how similar we are in our food relationships sometimes.
Maybe you could fill the Twizzlers with something so that he gets totally turned off by them.
