The Kimmi Kim Kim Plan, I love it..

This morning I actually ATE BREAKFAST... that is a nice change...

I joined a webpage called "sparkpeople", it is alot like fitday, but as I am un-creative with food, I like that they tell me what to eat...

I am so appreciative of the response... I am glad to be a part!! =)

Of course the Kimmi Kim Kim Plan is brilliant.... it is closely modeled after the violamom plan... which has helped me to lose over 20 lbs since Aug 1...  but it needs more veggies and more movement.  LOL I also am not very creative - and I have to have absolute portion control.  For me that means sitting down once a week and dishing up all my food ahead of time into individual portions. (yes I even measure the coffee creamer into individual portion cups!)  When I get up in the morning I fill my 'feed box' aka lunch box, with my food for the day.  For my first 5 meals of the day I eat the same thing everyday.  It isnt very adventurous, but it is easy.   (meal 1) - yoplait light sugar free yogurt, 12 oz coffee and 1T creamer (meal 2) -  hard boiled egg, wasa crispbread, 1T ff miracle whip (meal 3) - 2 slices foster farms turkey breast, 2T roasted red pepper hummus, 2 wasa crispbread 1/2 cup pinto beans 2T Stubbs spicy BBQ sauce (meal 4) - albacore tuna, 2 wasa crispbread, 2T ff miracle whip (meal 5) - 1/2 cup lowfat cotage cheese Dinners (meal 6) are chicken based 6 nights a week, basically I make 2 each of 3 meals... chicken with peppers and onions and fajita seasoning, chicken with greenbeans and sweet potato and curried chicken with rice.  We go to my mother's once a week for dinner so that is my wild card.  LOL Dessert (meal 7) is always a 1/2 cup of sorbet - yummy... my prize for having such a good day. Late snack (meal 8) is an egg fried with butter flavored pam, 1/2 english muffin and 1t butter - I hate going to bed hungry and the protein really helps see me through the night. I hope that gives you some ideas!

Welcome to you! I ultimately chose not to have surgery for a few reasons.  The big one was money.  Insurance will not cover it and then if there's complications they aren't covered by insurance.  The others are that I have a some family history with issues that some post-ops have like malabsorption.  Another reason is that I really needed to change my lifestyle and start living with a healthy diet anyway.  I had to change my relationship with food completely.  That I would have to do with surgery anyway so I though it would be best to deal with those things sooner than later, which is what I am doing now. I chose to go with a program that had some structure.  It was good for me.  I recommend you figure out where you are and what you need.  Everyone is going to have an opinion about this or that and a lot of people look down on me for having gone to an "establishment" and getting help.  I've tried doctors, psychologist, dietician, doing it on my own, WW, Nutrisystem, etc.  I've actually lost a lot of weight and kept it off for a few years, but I don't think I dealt with my food issues enough-even though I went to therapy. There are certain things that I am sure you know you have to do just like others have mentioned.  Finding exercise/activity that you like to do and will continue to do.  Eating healthy alone will not work for most people.  I've had several doctors tell me this in the past and it's finally sinking in.  My biggest problem is making the time to do it though.  Food journaling is one of the best things to do whether you choose the Kimmi Kim Kim plan or any other plan.  I chose a site called extrapounds.com.  It has everything in one place and I like the way they are set up but there are tons of different sites.  I actually belong to others like spark and milliondollarbody but it's just a matter of finding one that works for you. I wish you all the success in the world.  There are a bunch of great gals on these boards and I'm sure you'll get lots of ideas and encouragement. Take care, b :)
