Hey eyeryone! I am the new gal on the "non-surgical block". I am actually not a stranger to OH, I have been a member 2x before, on the surgical board.. approved 2x, chicked out both times. I have decided that I can do this without surgery, and I am asking all of you to hold me accountable !!! I have been ghosting for a day or two and I am so excited to get to know all of you!!!!

Welcome aboard! There are lots of  Chicken s here...lol  We all have different reasons for being here...I'll start...lol...I'm taking a break from looking at having a VSG. I'm all self financed, ready to go, then DH had some cardiac issues, so I just said forget it for a while. I'm still wanting to lose a bit if I do decide on a surgery date.  There aren't many people on this site, but we are noisy!

Thanks Gael!!!! I understand where you are coming from... There are days I am on the fence=)  Hope your DH is doing well, you certainly do not need the stress of having both of you trying to heal up!  As far as noisy goes, I love it!! You only need a few people to have fun!

Welcome. I have been on both sides of the fence so to speak. Before the fence, did the fence=WLS and now the other side of the fence and that is back to square one. For me, it is trying every day to eat as healthy as possible and that is about all I can ask of myself most days. I know now that I am healthier some what now even tho I do not have my WLS Tool. Learning to eat healthy and putting exercise into my routine has helped greatly. Stay around Girl!!!!

Hi, Kim (I hope that's your name): I also "chickened out".  My RNY surgery was to be July 10.  I realized that those having the surgery end up having to watch what they eat after a couple of years anyway.  So we just a soon do it without the pain and cost. There are a few people on this board who have lost over 100 lbs. without any kind of surgery!  I admire and respect them.  We all can learn from them, as well as from each other. Welcome!  I lurk most of the time unless I have questions, but I'm always here! Good luck to you! Bren

You asked for ideas - so here goes I strongly recommend the kimmi kim kim plan.  It is great and it is tailored just for YOU. step 1 - start using a food diary TODAY.  I like www.thedailyplate.com others like www.fitday.com and if neither of those work for you there are others.  Just a few days of putting in what you eat now will begin to show you trends that need fixing. step 2 - change one meal.  If your food diary shows you that you stop at McD's for breakfast every AM or that you eat cocopuffs with half and half you will know that you should change that meal.  Figure out what good whole foods you can eat that are better (I did not say perfect) choices than what you were eating before.  Once you are comfortable with your new breakfast move on to a snack or lunch! Step 3 - Water Water Water - you must get adequate water Step 4 - Increase metabolism by eating many times a day.  It will help you from going into starvation mode... Step 5 - MOVE IT!!!  walk 100 yards today and 110 tomorrow if that is all you can do  - but move move move!

What I've eaten is here for the world to see
