time to get serious

seriously! i received my bridesmaids dress for a wedding i'm in november 3, i look like total porker in it! i mean its definitely NOT flattering in any sense of the word for probably anybody but still. its all tight around the lower tummy and i am NOT happy. naturally the bust is too big.

i have been seriously pushing things and i need to get back on track. today we trekked to greenville for indian food, which was awesome since i haven't had it since i moved to SC. of course i ate WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY to much naan. mmmmm naan.....but after that i went to the mall and tried on bathing suits (don't know what i was thinking, but they were having a crazy sale). anyway, bad idea. some didn't look too bad, but there were a little too revealing on top. i love it how i have too much boob for nice bathing suit but not enough for the bridesmaid dress. anyway i don't know what i can do. other than just stop eating so much. simple, i know. easier said than done! trying to get into a 3x a week routine with my new trainer. its hard though to work all day and then go to the gym after and be expected to lift heavy weights. this working full time thing really sucks. trainer has really been pushing me and moving up the weights nearly every time we've met. i figure it can't keep going up, right?

i'm still struggling with back problems - and was rear-ended on friday, which i'm sure doesn't help any. college students should not be able to drive in public. i am really pissed that my brand new car now has $1565 worth of damage. and not like i have the time to take care of it right now anyway. :( the one good thing i guess is that people seem to think i look good. i met up with my fam for labor day - haven't seen bro/sister-in-law since march and SIL said this is the best i've ever looked. and mom took me on a lightening fast shopping spree (literally 20 mins!) and i got a lot of nice clothes. nothing bigger than a 12. *sigh*

Working full time is an adjustment and trying to fit in workouts is even more of a challenge, I remember it well.  You'll get there and I know you already know that. I picked dresses for my bridesmaids that I thought would flatter them.  They all wore the same dress but it looked great on each of them.  I don't know why someone would pick a dress for someone and not consider the body type of the wearer, but I guess there's really nothing we can do about that anyway.  The good thing is you do have lots of time to work on trouble spots.  Also, have you ever tried Spanx?  Spanx makes several different styles of shapers.  They're available in a lot of the big department stores, but you can also get them on QVC and if you don't like them you can return them which is a bonus.  I have some thin friends that use them when they're wearing those slinky dresses and they love them.  As far as the bust, I don't know what to tell you about that.  I ended up having to get the "chicken cutlets" for my wedding dress.  You'd think as fat as I am that I could fill it out on my own, but nooooo!  LOL Do you only workout with a trainer or will you workout on your own?  It might help to get a couple of dvds that you can do when you have got the time.  I know that when I was working 10-12 hr days min. that I would come home and workout b/c I could do it at home.  It helped me feel accomplished and I actually slept better.  This doesn't work for everyone-working out at night as some people get wired but it worked great for me back in those days.  A friend of mine who lost about 100 pounds started by getting up at 5am and did it 5 days/week.  She still does it 5 years later!  I'm not a morning person so that would not work for me. b:)

oh yes, i am very familiar with Spanx. i thin****ep them in business....i tossed out my chicken cutlets (actually i passed them on ) after my second boob job. i'm a 34 DD! i should be able to fill it out! i need to find an alterations lady anyway to shorten it so maybe she can tighten that part. bride said she described all of us to the woman at the a store and she agreed we would look good.  what i wouldn't do for a simple A line....  i do cardio everyday on my own and strength training 3 times a week with trainer. i have tapes and such and two gym memberships but usually just end up on my treadmill at home so i can watch TV or wear spandex without scaring people or whatever. i get up at 6:30 to get 20-30 minutes in before work just so i feel like i did something. then i go back later in the day for either more cardio or PT. thanks for your response!

No WAY did you get rear-ended AGAIN?????  O.M.G. I join you in this back to the serious plans.  The last couple weekends i have been tooo lax.  i plan on a certain amount, but this cannot keep up. Bridesmaids dresses are meant to look stoopid, so don't put too much into that. I can just picture that particular style...doesn't look good on the thinnest girls! Full time work will take a good 6 months for you to feel like you are catching up.  Just hang in there, Andy!

whole foods salad i made yesterday, piece of garlic herb bread, grapes, 1 hershey kiss 5:15  - chiro 6:30 - trainer 2/3 of 1/2 of a piece whole food spinach lasagna for dinner with garlic herb bread and last of my salad, strawberries. hopefully not too much after dinner.

Girl, I feel your pain.  The scale didn't move for me this week and I'm thinking "What is WRONG with you, Janina??!"  I need to get my butt into gear quick too.

I'm so sorry about your car getting rear-ended.  That must really stink.  I hope your back feels better soon.

I need to get my ass to the gym.  Thanks for helping me push myself.

Hang in there Andy. It sounds like you are adjusting well to your new surroundings given what a big change it was. It'll only get better. And that shopping spree sounds fantastic!!! Nothing above a 12? That's a beautiful size! I have never been to a wedding for any reason and like 2 months ago my friend got engaged. She says they're going to get married in July '08. All I can think is PLEEEEASE god make it really casual so they don't have bridesmaids dresses. I don't think those flatter anyone?!
