Hey everyone, I am having a hard time deciding between LA weight loss and WW. Which one is better in your opinion? Will I have more success on one than the other? I have about 120 lbs to lose. Thanks

From some experience....I went to Medical Weight Loss Clinic which is basically the same as LA Weight Loss....basically you pay them LOTS of money and even MORE money for their "foods"....too me a waste...amybe to others good? I recommend WW, there are a few on here that do that and it has been working quite well. I have never done WW but I know my mother is going to start it back up next week. And today is my first day of South Beach Diet.  Hope I helped a little....

I'm behind Christa - go with WW.  It's more flexible, less money, more support.

HI there! I have never tried the other one but I began the WW flex plan on 8/20. I'm on my own as I am doing the online thing since we have no WW where I live, but my first weigh in was this past Monday and I had lost six pounds! I certainly don't have it all down but I was allotted 25 points per day (I need to loose 75 lbs) with an extra 35 to use (if I choose) throughout each week. I have been VERY pleasantly surprised at the points! They are really just NO PROBLEM. I can pretty much eat anything I want- but I really KEEP TRACK and document on their weight tracker- ALL that I eat. I have not had a day yet that I've struggled. The only thing I've struggled with so far is drinking all the water. (6-8 cups per day) But I really think that is instrumental in this weight loss plan.  I have actually stayed within my 25 points every day and only used 7.5 points of my extra 35 (I had a home made burger last Monday:) Anyhow- good luck!  Let us know what you choose!

Any "diet" will work for a time.  you will probably lose pretty quick on either, at the beginning.  You will probably spend more money on LA Weight loss but it worked for a girl I know, she lost 140 pounds.  It took her 2 years. Now, that all being said....you will lose weight on ANY program that you start out with.  The objective is being able to learn how to keep the weight off, how to be patient when it is coming off, and change your life enough that it will be your last "diet."

The objective behind any weightloss program is to burn more calories than you take in, which means that you have to watch portion control, the types of foods you eat, and exercise as well.  It's an overall approach to achieving a healthy lifestyle that you can live with and work for the rest of your life. Any diet works.  It's the lifestyle changes that make the weight loss a keeper. Good luck in whatever you choose!!3

I love being in Bert's good graces.  He scares me otherwise.

I agree with what Donna said.  Between the two I would probably recommend WW.  If I had more self control I would be doing that right now.  I know someone who did LA Weight Loss and lost a lot of weight on it.  She said it was really expensive though.  I also know that they push the "optional" products a great deal.  She said she spent quite a bit on bars and stuff. Good luck with whichever you choose. Beth
