Weekend Plans

I'm happy to say as of 4:30 p.m. today I'm officially on vacation.  My DB and I are headed to Chicago for a long weekend, leaving tomorrow and coming back some time on Monday.  We are sure to have a great time.  As for my eating plan...all things in moderation.  In other words, I am definitely going to try Chicago's deep dish pizza and those hot dogs, but will be mindful to keep my portions "in check." So what are your plans for the holiday weekend?

I'm headed down to Alabama to meet my brother so he can take his son, my nephew, back with him to Louisiana.  I'm sure I'll probably blow my calorie intake out of the water with junk food and stuff. I'm a big snacker while I drive long trips like that.  Passes the time! lol Hmm.. The nephew does have a portable DVD player..perhaps I'll bring a few movies and let the wife drive.   Dunno what else I'm doing for the long weekend.

Family reunion in SC Saturday (yes, I decided to go).  Doing most of the driving Friday and Sunday.

Well shoot!!  You're passing by my neck of the woods!  I'll be hitting SC about 8-9am Saturday mornining.  Hopefulling I'll be hitting it again around 8pm that night.  If I weren't headed out of town myself I'd say the wife and I could meet you for lunch or something.. Then again, you're going to a reunion so I'm sure you'll be about sick of food! heheh

So far, Tomorrow just going to the races like normal then an after-party which there will be alcohol but I am going to be the sober one for once...SOuth Beach started today so no alchy for me....sad. On a freaking holiday! But I'm good with it. for the rest of the weekend...I am actually working saturday...my choice I just can not bury out of my work I have SOOO MUCH! Then after work I have no clue...for the rest of the weekend ????? No plans yet. Maybe go to my parents...maybe some guitar hero hahah. :)

We're hosting a bbq on Monday, so that should be rough for me.  Aside from that, my weekend is pretty quiet.

Friday afternoon and evening - Open house Saturday AM - work Saturday afternoon - laundry Saturday evening - Symphony in the park Sunday AM - cook big breakfast for my menfolk Sunday afternoon  - Open house MONDAY, my first day off since memorial day (I worked on the 4th of July)

tell Chicago I said hi!!!!  what a fun town. This weekend is my bike day bust out.  DH is now going to work every Sunday...which I am secretly glad about.  Me..alone with the Sunday paper...no sharing.  Then after a luxurious read, i will take off for HOURS on my bike by myself!!!!  For a holiday weekend, no party plans, and that is okay with me. I need to rest, clean this rotten house. Play with grandsons.
