This morning I did Turbo Jam -- Cardio Party 1 for 45 min, then worked with my hand weights for about 10 min to work on skin hang.
Tonight I am doing my 30 min workout at Curves with a one-mile walk from home in each direction.
I started out in January this year doing just 10 minutes in the mornings and evenings on the recumbent cycle. It wasn't until March that I started walking regularly and even then it was just 100 yards at a time. You saw what I did yesterday.
It starts slow. Give yourself the time to build up and take comfort in the fact you're doing something! You are doing exactly what you need to do.
So far I've done about 8350 steps today and 25 minutes of cardio, a Turbo Jam DVD. It was really the 20 minute video, but it took me 40 minutes to actually get through it b/c the puppies wouldn't stop chasing me around. I made the mistake of thinking I was up to doing the 40 minute workout on Monday even though I hadn't done it in about 3 months. Yesterday I paid the price. Today I wasn't as sore I did my best. Got 11600 steps in Monday, 7500 in Tuesday and 8500 today (by the time I go to bed). Shootin' for 10000 tomorrow.
