OK ok...  I took part of this and part of that from just about everyone....and today it is finally clicking. First thing I do is have coffee.... then stuff down the egg and eggwhites.  NOW the day can start! Since night time is the worst time for me.. I saved a good portion of calories for this evening.  Breakfast and Lunch were about 327 calories, but I biked 3 miles while bowling with the WII (Hey.. that's really fun.. biking and bowling or the tennis.. keeps me occupied and I don't realize I'm wet with sweat until it's almost over).  I actually had ENERGY today for the first time in .. oh Lord.. I don't know.. MONTHS and MONTHS>  I HAPPILY cleaned the kitchen and bathroom and mopped floors and such WITHOUT taking a break while listening to some serious 70's and 80's rock  <-- this works.  My vacuum got a SERIOUS work out.. ceiling fans... polished the marble on the fireplace.. There was quite a bit of discomfor in my knees and hipst, but not enough to make me stop.  Where's this energy coming from folks?  Is it because I've been pushing myself to do the bike (even if I cry my way through it). I actually WENT to the supermarket (instead of sending the kids).. hair done.. make up on.. kinda like a real human.  Usually I want to pass out after the shower.. but I felt refreshed.  I came home and broke out leftover meatloaf, center cut pork, potato wedges and put it on the counter and said "GUESS WHAT.. LEFTOVERS AND YOU'RE HEATING THEM UP".  I did get some resistance from the peanut gallery but mom hung TOUGH and said TOO BAD boys and girl!  Ya wanna eat?  Then get your butts movin'! <-- by this time I was REeeeeeeeeeeeally hungry so I had to get out of the kitchen.  I woofed down 5 shaved pieces of Oscar meyer mesquite prepackaged turkey for about 60 calories. When they were done, I put my veggies in the microwave w/some salt and fake butter for flavor.  I have a nekkid turkey breast in the crockpot.  I had to guess at quantity because someone burned my scale and didn't say anything!  Ok.. that's so minor.  I'm saving what I'm guessing to be 2 oz of turkey and a cup of mixed veggies for around 9:00pm.  That's enough to shut my stomache up for the night I hope. OH.. and today.. I actually biked my blood sugar down to 93... without the fast acting insulin.  Grrrrrrrreat.. since insulin makes us use calories more efficiently (ie:  saving 'em up), not having to take it gives me some hope. Last but not least.. I logged everything in Fitday.com and I did NOT get on the scale 50 times today.. I didn't even get on it once!  AMEN Thanks for all your support....  You people are simply beautiful!  I've been reading and taking in a little of everything... and I think it's clicking!

WOW!  feel free to come clean my house! first off, isnt it amazing to realize just how crappy you've been feeling?  That hit me in my first week too.  I didnt know I was so.... lethargic. second, good for you - making those kids use the microwave all by themselves!  In a month or two they may even be able to *gasp* look in the fridge by themselves!  LOL   Going to the store yourself is a good thing too.  I have found shopping takes longer these days with all my label reading... but now YOU are in control of what comes into the house!

I am glad you are using fitday to journal your food.  That will help you so much in the long run.

Well Done

Thank you .. thank you.. i'd courtsey, but my knees just won't cooperate.. LOL

I don't do too much with labels.. I just don't know how long my legs are gonna hold out, so I stick to the ends of the supermarket.  I go through produce, then fish and meat, and around to dairy..  I hit the center for the rice, tuna and whatever I need to complete meals.  Then OUT the door I go.  I had a quick stop at the pharmacy.  That poor girl winced when she asked if I had insurance and I said "no.. self pay".  LOL  Poor thing. Changing pharmacies was good...  I used Walgreens in Florida, and didn't want to switch when I moved to SC because I could do so much online....  but the nearest one is 50 miles away.  Although CVS seems to be a tad more expensive, I cut back by switching from insulin pens to vials, making sure everything is generic and of course.. I'm not spending a bankroll in gas.  It's better to stay in town rather than having to drive to Augusta!  It's gonna get even better once I can knock down that insulin to a dull roar.  Right now it takes 2 vials of Lantus and 2 of Novolog a month.  I stopped the third insulin to save $.

Ok.. so I'm being such a good girl today that I deserve a luscious foot bath after I wash their dishes and stash the turkey in the fridge.

Wow!  You make me tired just reading all you did today! Congrats! I know you will sleep well tonight. What are you planning on doing tomorrow?  Shouldn't be much housework left to do for a while.  You could wash your car, paint the house, etc.  Sounds like you're up for it! Keep it up! We're proud of you! Bren

WElllllllllll....  the day isn't over yet!  lol  There's always plenty to do around here.. I live with 3 very helpless adults!  lol    I usually wake up to a sink full of dishes from the kids all night long.  She baked cookies at 3:00am.. that's what I woke up to this morning.  I'm just takin' it all in stride anymore.  Yanno what, better for me to use their helplessness as a reason for me to keep moving.  I'm just appreciating the energy today!  Instead of whining about the mess, I shut my mouth, put on the music and got to it! Let's see what tomorrow brings.. although, since the heat destroyed my veggie garden... thoughts of tilling it all out and preparing for next growing season is striking my fancy.  I moaned when it had to be done this past spring.. did a little tiny bit at a time... but I think I can get through at least one whole garden.  I'll let someone else lug the manure though! It was kinda sad to see those shriveled cantaloupe....  the green beans stopped growing, the tomatoes are tiny, the zucchini is .. um.. dead.  Even the cucumbers died off and I had so many that my husband was bringing huge basketfulls to work for the ladies.  The brocolli is still going strong and so are the carrots and eggplant... poor peppers couldn't take it though.  All the spices are fine..yea.. I think one of the gardens can go.  Man.. last week I would have said PESHAW.. LET IT ROT!  Let's just see what these legs let me do tomorrow!  :)- yep.. ONE day at a time.... looks like I'm finishing off the day with 772 calories and more exercise than I've done in ages.
