Last night I had a Super Sonic burger. They have a new southewestern style one.  I was out with some friends last night and since I get off so late from work I didn't have time to grab dinner on the way home.. So needless to say around 8ish I was starving and Sonic was on the way back to where we were going.  So I ate that big ole juicy burger and ordered a side of super greasy fried jalapenos.  All of it was delicious but now, today.. I'm having some problems.  All I can think about is two big ole fat juicy fried chicken thighs from Bojangles and soem seasoned fries and dirty rice. Gah, I was doing so well craving healthy stuff and one F' up with fat nasty and I'm ready to throw in the towel and gob some lard down my throat.  What's up with that??? Okay..gotta make a plan.. Where, and what, can I eat today that will satisfy this craving but yet still be healthy?

How odd?? I thought it was carbs that did that to us!  I never crave more fat after fat.  I can't really tolerate fat at all, so that's a good thing I guess. Maybe it was the bun and the fried stuff, NOT the fat?  Those damn carbs will do us in any time. Hey, take an Alli then you won't want to eat the fat!!!!!

interesting - he may be craving carbs....  rice, fries and heavily breading with a little chicken underneath....

It is the carbs......because this morning I felt hunger pains and I usually don't....but I got me some protein in and I'm fine now. Eat a spoon or two of peanut butter or a couple of eggs

http://www.starling-fitness.com/wp-content/1lbfat.jpg Here, take a big old bite. Look, carbs metabolize as sugar does, so can fat if there's no better choices. Why not buy a ton of fresh fruit, cut it all up, and go to town?

so the fat metabolized into sugar???  or my body burnt the fat and liked it so it wanted more??  Meh, too complicated.  Makes me want a twinkie!

almost everything we eat does translate to sugar eventually (not protein molecules or vitamins and minerals, but you get my drift). Sugar is the only fuel our brains and muscles use. It's the main currency, very simply stated.

You sound like me.  I can eat something high in fat and still crave more.  Once I fall off I have a hard time getting back on track.  I am better off just staying on track.  I know as time progresses I am going to have to learn that one mistake doesn't warrant another one.   Remember the weight loss you've had.  You don't want to put it right back on.  Get your mind straight.  You can do it! Well I'm proud to say I avoided that yummy, juicy, fat oozing chicken.  I went to Soho Bistro for some Mixed veggies with chicken, shrimp and steamed rice in a brown sauce.  While it was a little high in calories from the rice it was at least a much healthier choice than the chicken.  I'm gonna have to have a light dinner it seems but that's okay... I might get some fresh fruit or veggies on the way home so I can get something lo-cal in me so I don't feel like I'm starving.  I think you're right about the carbs.  The bread on the sandwich, the breading on the jalapeno strips, the southwestern sauce.. i'm sure it was all high in carbs.   And judging from how hard a time I had saying no to the rice at lunch I'd say it was a carb attack.
