Decisions, decisions which DIEt do I choose?

Choose the one you will do! The one that fits YOUR lifestyle the closest. Since pigging out with wild abandon is not being supported as a reasonable approach, whatever you choose will have a down side.  Any plan you choose includes feeling hunger more than you are used to.  To me, WW is just more workable and not real $. Jenny Craig works...but you are segregated from other people and what they are eating.  I never think that will work for too long unless one is anti-social. Plus, pretty expensive.

If Jenny Craig is an option for you, I'd choose Jenny.  I did Jenny Craig for 4 months and lost 60lbs.  The reason why I got off it was because I got tired of the same foods over and over.  But if that's not going to be a problem for you, choose Jenny.  It's very customized to your individual needs, you eat often, never hungry even though the meals are small, very healthy, and I lost my 60 with no exercise at all (I know, I'm the antichrist).

Try Jenny.

I did Jenny once about 12 years ago (ohhh that didnt sound right)  and I did have some success, but the cost became too much for me. I am now on a plan of my own divising.  I try to stay about 500 calories below the goal set for me by the daily plate.  I try to eat about 150% of my recommended protiens and I stay away from simple starches... so far, pretty good

Your post made me giggle (the Jenny thing).  I'm afraid of the cost.  I get really overwhelmed with the idea of keeping track of it all.  Still, I don't know what I'll do yet.  Right now I've just cut back some and adding a lot more veggies when I make dinner.  I also walk the dogs about a 1/4-1/3 mile min. 5 days/week or so.  The thing that really appeals to me about Jenny is that it would be a little more mindless until I can get on track.  Now, I just have to figure out whether I am going to rob a bank or win the lotto.  LOL

Have you considered modifying one meal at a time?  You have already begun to do that with dinner.  - more veggies.   next cut the starch and add even MORE veggies.

then add a high protein snack during the afternoon....

then attack breakfast. Maybe if you made one change a week you would have a really healthy diet before you knew it!
