Exercise
Being as it is that I do not work out I can answer your question. I sit on my ass. I play World of Warcraft, I peruse myspace.com, I watch TV, I cook, clean a little, and sit on my ass some more. from 7pm - 12am is my time. My wife is part of my time as well so it's not technically my time all alone but I want to spend time with her most days so it's still my time. Lol make sense?
1.5 hours doesn't seem like a lot of time but when you want to get home to play WoW you don't want to be bothered by going to the gym. It's all about priorities I suppose. Mine are all out of wack, I know. My know-better side wants to be focused on exercise but my dont-care, to much work side wants to sit on my ass more. As if 9 hours a day at work isn't enough time to flatten out my cheeks.. :)
Ask Bert how *he* solved his WoW problem. Go 'head!

I hear this all the time - no time for exercise, no motivation.
With my patients I use my best cheerleader voice and try to find ways to remove the excuses.
But, contrary to popular belief - the dietitian doesn't have an easier time finding time for exercise.
I work 10-11 hours a day and sometimes it's tough to get motivated!
Maybe it's not magical, but I have two things I always do to keep me moving
1. I do something every day. This is a "something" in addition to my normal running around the house stuff. Some days it is laps around the backyard or some sit-ups on the bedroom floor. Some days it's a hike in the local mountains. Other days it's off to the gym. But I never let myself get away with doing nothing. The duration and intensity vary greatly from day to day sometimes - but I don't dwell on that. Afterall, at the end of the day, if I don't do it, I'm only cheating myself.
2. I have a pedometer, I put it on first thing in the morning. Every day I take credit for all of the running around I do. I'm up the stairs, down the stairs, down the hall, etc. When I get home, I look at all of the walking I did during the day and I feel a ltlle bit better. I think pedometers are great at measuring walking for exercise, but they are also good to give you an idea of your activity baseline. You can then find ways to increase your exercise during the day - walk to someone's office instead of calling or taking the stairs instead of the elevator, or parking farther away from the door Me & my pedometer are keeping track!
The only person you need to be accountable to is you.
and I don't particularly like swimsuits either...
Goood Luck!
