Surgery...The Aftermath
I've been under a log.. Didn't even realize you were having surgery! Sorry to hear you're in so much pain. I know that's gotta suck! Hell I just had a wisdom tooth removed and I've been whining (imagine that) for days! The pain finally went away yesterday. Anyways, so what did you have done and why? (Forgive me for asking you to repeat this.)

Everyone:
Thank you for your wishes. I am better today, arthritis is still there with pulsating pain. My leg is still stiff. Pivoting on it hurts like hell. I'm also experiencing muscle spasms. I think I am going to be confined to my house for the next 2 months until it fully heals. It's my right leg (driving) and I can't get any of my clothes over the brace. I already feel like an invalid.
Chris:
I had a partial menisectomy and repair with stitching. Basically torn cartilage removed and cartliage favorable for regrowth stiched together. All due to fatritis. The doc believes it was already torn, but one morning I twisted my knee getting out of my buggee and it hurt like hell. He thinks that put the nail in the coffin.
Thanks for the info! I have big problems with my knees. I'm sure my weight compounds my issues but I don't know if it's the initial culprit. I refrain from many activities because of my knees. I won't get on my knees and lean back because if I turn wrong the knee will dislocate. Basically anything that requires me to be in the position is a no-no. (Knee-boarding, skiing, paint-ball, etc.) Running also causes problems. Walking seems to be okay though. I need to have surgery I'm sure of it. When I get my 'good insurance' when I go on full time I plan on getting it fixed. Good to know about the pain up front so I can prepare for it.
