"Singling out obesity" is the problem. Fact is, obesity doesn't kill: heart disease, diabetes, sleep apnea, high blood pressure-- the co-morbidities that *sometimes* accompany obesity-- do. And those same maladies occur in the average sized population as well. You wanna make people pay by the co-morb? Have at it. But to penalize all obese people is, as I said, both arbitrary and capricious.

dont forget people of child bearing age.... all that prenatal care and labor and delivery is expensive when it goes well...

now if a couple is using IVF charge them $20! because those darn multiple preemies cost a fortune!

Yeah we talked about this on the lap-band board a few weeks ago.

I think it's outrageous and ridiculous. Worst case, I think they should offer $10 a pay check to people who are under 30 BMI as an incentive to those over 30, to get in shape. Not charge the fat kids. Isn't segregation illegal? Last time I checked, it was. Stupidity. Pure stupidity.
