thank you!

Thank you all for being my shoulders to cry on.  Yesterday we had a long talk and he really doesn't want a divorce, but had a bunch of things on his mind that apparently he thought that telling me he wanted a divorce was easier than talking things through.  And, for one of the first times in my life, I didn't turn to food for comfort! I actually wasn't hungry and felt sick to my stomach just thinking about food! I did eat, but not much. My poor body!   AnywayI guess a few of the guys he's with at the training has had their wives cheat and one is sending him divorce papers (filed them the day he left) & so dh thought b/c our sex life has dwindled that I must be cheating too! Umm, hello dummy, you just went through cancer and chemo! It was hard for me to switch between caretaker and sexy wife! Plus, when I don't feel sexy in my skin, my libido is zilch. I'm working on that as I lose weight tho!  Then he told me that he even he told me he supports my decision to join the Army, he changed his mind. He doesn't want me to get deployed to Iraq and die. Ok - he could have just said it especially when I've asked him a couple of times about it, about HIS opinion.     The worst thing was that I made him quit dipping and he can't stand the nicotine withdrawl anymore and didn't want to let me down. grrrr!!! I could have just smacked him upside the back of his head for acting so stupid.   The only reason all of this came out was b/c I said that once he got his chain of command involved and got me a flight home, that there was no taking this back - that I was going home and going to start a new life without him. He broke down and cried and said he doesn't want to lose me.   Anywho, thanks for being here for me, I really needed it!

Aren't men stupid?  Yeah, you should have whapped him upside the back of his head. I am so sick of my SO coming to me days after a brawl and saying "you were right."  um, yeah, I am always right for goshsakes, you think you'd be used to it by now!!! hehe I'm glad all is good.  Sometimes opening up those communication floodgates works wonders!!
