i checked in the chatroom @ 12:20. Nobody there. I will prolly check later. I'm kinda freaking out. I just found out that the Mom of one of the girls on my daughter's soccer team died. Suicide. I lost my Mom the same way. She was 36 - 3 kids, 7, 6, and 2. Heartbreaking. Talk about emotional carnage!! Please pray for the Burke family.

How awful. I'm so sorry. I can't really chat-- having my own emergency. Not to be too gross, but my stool's completely impacted due to all my meds, and I'm in agony. Went to the pharmacy at 2 am, got Dulcolax inserts and Colace pills-- and nothing's happening. It's excrutiating. If I can't get things straight soon, I'm off to the ER.

have you tried a heating pad, or a warm bath?(youv'e probably tried everthing - mentioning it just in case!) I had to take one of my daughters to the dr last year because she hadnt pooped for a week. She ended up "birthing it" at the pediatricians office! sorry, I hope thats not too graphic. I sure hope you don't have to go to the ER!

Update! I'm happy (and disgusted) today that the emergency has...passed. It had only been a few days. No lie, I have never had pain like that. I saw stars. Oh my God. My cat was even upset. No idea how cats know these things. Could it be that I was sweating and pacing? It was the Dulcolax suppository that finally helped. But I will take the Colace so this doesn't happen again! It was most def the combo of narcotics, protein powders, lack of roughage and carbs, dehydration. I am going to work like you would not believe to make sure THAT never happens again, MY GOD.

can you tolerate a daily teaspoon of ground psyllium seed in your protein powder? I use this and it des help a lot; i get it at the health food store in the bins. Ask your surgeon. DH is the same way on any kind of painkiller...it is horrible. Glad it passed.

I'm off the seeds and oils for a couple more weeks...will resume my Flax Seed then and that'll help considerably! I mean, look, everybody gets stopped up, but this was like....heinous. I almost passed out. Holy...crap!

That is horrid. In my life, an old friend's daughter was found dead in Arizona a couple days ago..also suicide. This girl had been an addict for a long time, what a bummer to go out in such a predictable horrible way. No one ever wants to bury their child...and to suicide. How did you ever survive that emotionally? obviously, you had to go on in some form. I cannot imagine. I have a close friend whose dad shot himself after finding his wife in an affair...after the dad died, the kids then "got to" go live with the mom and her boyfriend. My friend came out wonderfully, but what a terrible childhood. Those poor children and husband.
