The scale, new shoes, new attitude?

So, as much as I hate to admit this, my scale really was not broken as the new one I bought said indeed that I am 7 lbs heavier now, so I'm back at 240. I refuse to change my ticker yet, b/c the only rational explanation I can come up with is either A-it's almost "tom" and B-that b/c its been really hot here recently and I've spent a lot of time outside, I'm retaining water. I refuse to think otherwise. I put the scale way far under my bed so I can't weigh myself daily anymore. I will re-weigh myself on the 15th.  The new scale I bought is a digital one that calculates body fat, so I am really pleased about that. I figure this now really gives me a better basis to count my weight loss. While I was shopping for my scale, I came across a pair of Nike Shox for $60!!! So, after arguing with myself about buying them, they ended up in the buggy and came home with me. (I argued with myself b/c I was saving buying Shox for when I lost 50 lbs and technically, I've only lost 30 now). I figured I can't move and exercise if my feet & legs are hurting from bad shoes.... So, starting today, I'm putting forth my best attitude. My youngest started Kindergarten today and I managed to get through this day so far without binging. Yay for me!

Good for you!!!  Buy those good shoes. I think 60 bucks is a cheap investment.  i make sure to buy good shoes, too.  hey, the scale is what it is . Good attitude...no copouts allowed in he-yah!  Just get back on that horse and do what you know is right to the best of your ability. Don't be too hard on your self. With little ones at home, there is about 3 strikes against you for meaningful exercise, good quality food to be afforded, etc. I have been in your shoes, so I know.  Just try.  you are a shining example to them when you do that. TRY your best, that's all.

I just went on a shop-a-palooza. I am either a 26-28 or about to be, so that's what I bought. I bought 3 pairs of capris (I wear them much of the year-- weird but I hate pant****ting my ankles)and my classroom is sweaty hot), a cool kimono blouse that appropriately cleared my knockers, a comfy nightshirt, blouse for work, knit sleeveless blouse and three bras (in a 42DDD instead of 48H)--- 10 items totalling $150, so a pretty nice haul. (When you consider that my bras used to be $32 a PIECE, and work blouses at least $35, I mean, Jeebis!) Then I went to the bookstore and got 2 good reads---then "Bed,Bath and Beyonce" where I bought the SigOt his own Magic Bullet (put a sock in it, Neece!), a full length mirror so I can see to put Moderma on my scars, and a bath brush. Then-- I went to the grocery store, bought stuff, and made pureed barbecue chicken and pureed taco turkey meat for later in the week-- and got some cheap end of season pool toys for SigOt's kids to play with at the pool. And some clearance lotion for the Lotion 'Copter-- I smell all nummy. According to FitDay, I spent almost 500 calories on the Shop-a-Palooza. WOOT! And according to my bank account-- wasn't bad either. Groceries are cheap these days!
