Ok so Sunday I am leaving to go to Chicago so I can try and flip that office down there around and get it running like I run the Michigan area. My mother is also going along with myself and the owner, my mother and i want to do a little site seeing. I know some of you have been to Chicago or even live there. Any good places to see, good resturaunts that aren't too pricey, anything that I should not miss while I am there? Thanks ahh I can't wait to go!!!

We have a Uno's here about 10 minutes away from where I live which they have on in Chicago as well which is Chicago style pizza Deep Dish oh it is to die for....But I am not to hype on pizza lately Last week when I woke up at 4am and had my little realization it was pizza that came back up so....lol I think i am going to be staying away from pizza. :)
o-my gawd is chicago ever funnnnn!!!
Go to:
1. Gino's (I went to the one on East Superior, right in the middle of the Magnificent Mile for shopping! ), Bring your Alli...it is of course bad juju for nutrition. Uno's is a chain...no good.
2. Corner Bakery...excellent stuff to eat in the mornings. This is a chain, too, but different, cuz it's whole food for the most part.
3. Wrigley Field for a game! Cheap transportation to there, and take the L train. Only about 35 bucks for a decent seat. The Goose Island Brew Pub is where I had that fantastic stilton cheeseburger on a home made pumpernickel roll! omg
4. try to rent a bike or get your hands on a bike and ride all along Lake Michigan...about 40 bucks for 4 hours - worth every penny
5. Garrett popcorn...get a small bag of good caramel corn!
6. Navy Pier has lots of fun music, esp on weekends. Wed & Sat they have fireworks every night!
7. That weird red blue and white ship (manhatton beach? i forget)and the Oak Beach place are both great places to eat! They look cheesy and el-cheapo, but good food for not bad price.
if I think of more, I'll let ya know.
Christa,
Chicago is a fun place. I would recommend trying to see Millenium Park (free), and Navy Pier (free, unless you go on rides, but don't really need to). You don't seem like a museum gal, but we have whats called the Museum campus (Field Museum-history, Shedd Aquarium, and Alder Planetarium-space) which is neat. I personally love the Art Institute which is right across the street from Millenium. The boat rides (like Spirit of Chicago) are great, especially at night when the city is all lit up-they take you on the chicago river and then on the lake. The views of the city are fantastic.
Of course, great shopping down the Magnificent Mile on Michigan Ave! Just about any place you go downtown at night is fun. Definitely stop at any hot dog stand and get a chicago-style hot dog! And visit the lake if you can, it great.
Or if you have any time in the evening, maybe a visit to Wrigley Field to watch a Cubs game--so fun! and the bars around there are a good time too!
It's so funny, but I would ask Neecee what she did on her visit. I've lived here my whole life, so I really don't see it in a touristy way. If I think of anything else I let you know!
Have fun!
