OT my poor Bridget's thumbs!!

My youngest is sporting neon pink bandages on both thumbs!  She touched a hot desk lamp and burned them both... She didn't even shreik!  I came upstairs from the basement and she was in the kitchen with her thumbs in a glass of water.  I asked her what was up, and she said she'd burned her thumbs.  she took them out to show me and she had a big blister on one, and a little blister on the other.  I took her to the doctor because she was in so much pain once she took her thumbs out of the water.    Had I done that to myself I woulda passed out!  She's such an animal!   She's fine now - and I'm almost fine! 

Poor thing.  I hope she feels better soon!

thanks!  Right now she seems to be fine - she's bouncing off the walls, and torturing her sister.  Hopefully when I change the bandage things will go smoothly.  

Ye-OUCH!  kiss her for me.... My older girl owuld often scare me..she never reacted to pain, i guess an extremely high tolerance for pain. The other one?  scream like bloody hell over anything. I can still hear her screaming when she touched the vent over our heating system outside and burned her baby palms - that has been over 25 years ago! None of us knew it got that hot. I'm almost over that!

same with my two girls!  Except its my younger daughter(Bridget) thats got the insane stiff upper lip!  When she got an IV in the ER 2 weeks ago, she didn't even make a peep.  When she was 4 y/o she got 4 immunizations including the nasty DPT one - not a peep.  The Dr almost fell on the floor!  Ingrid, my older daughter starts screaming the second she sees the needle - and doesnt stop for a half an hour afterwards! On the other hand, Bridget is also a drama queen!  If Ingrid(her sister) smacks her  you can hear her screaming all the way down the street!

Ack! I hope they are feeling better! Nothing hurts like the ends of your fingers lots of nerve endings there. Weird, in my whole life I met 2 people with my name and on this website there are tons! Crazy! You chose a great name for your daughter!

She's much better!  One thumb looks fine, and the right one still has a huge blister.  If I had a blister like that I wouldn't be able to keep myself from popping it! You've got a fabulous name also!  My other daughter's name is Ingrid.
