I went to the gym

I'm not looking for massive praise, or slaps on the shoulder, but I had to share that today, I did what Diva does, and I took my lunch hour and hustled my fat ass down to the gym, did 30 minutes at 2.8 mph on the treadmill, sweat my armpits off, and hustled back to work within an hour.

I hated it.  It stunk.  I hated getting my heart all up.  I hate sweating.  I still felt self conscious, even though there were only like 10 people in the whole gym, but afterwords, I felt accomplished and proud.

Of course, as soon as I got back to my office, it was someone's birthday so I had a piece of cake.  Out the window... But regardless: there you go. :)

Thank you guys for having a walk-a-thon for me, for helping me through my hellish day yesterday and for keeping me semi-sane.  I really appreciate it.  I love you guys.

YYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH! Girl.. there you go!!!    Here is what you do... Get you some baby wipes and keep them in your gym bag... so when you are done you can hit up all the essential parts before you go back to work... I normally ride back to work the a/c on high to help cool my head and face....  Re apply deorderant and get you some on your favorite body spritz.... Spray yourself a couple times and BAM!!!!! No one will evey knew you went to the gym....   Remember increased heart rate, increase metabolism, increased weight loss.... Hang there girl... do not worry about the cake.....  Look at it like this you are ahead more so going to the gym and having the cake, than not going to the gym and having the cake...  WE LOVE YOU GIRL!!!!

...and for you, I did another lap of the parking lot....and promptly took a two hour nap! Oh man-- convalescing sucks.

That is fabulous Janina. Ups and downs of eating aside, every trip to the gym (or walk outside, or whatever it is that works for you) matters because I really think it does wonders for our mood, and overall perspective on how we want to treat ourselves. You DO deserve massive praise YES YES YES.

I was all set to walk this morning...... I told my daughters we were going for a walk - I knew if I TOLD them, that I would HAVE to!  We were all set to go, then I remembered I had a freakin Drs appt @ 9:30.  I was actually looking forward to walking with them, then I felt so bad for dissappointing them.(once I was done at 11:00 it was to hot to even think about walking without an ambulance following us!) So, after the appt I went to the store and bought a pedometer(was useful once before for walking motivation) then we went to lunch... sigh.... I had a chicken wrap that came with french fries, and made my plate smile(and my thighs bigger).  My girls who SWORE they were STARVING, ate two bites each of their food(at least I didn't eat their french fries too!) I sorta redeemed myself, and myself to them, by going to the town pool.  They had fun, and I spent a decent amount of time doing laps. Tommorrow I shall break out the pedometer! Good work Janina! Onward comrades!!

baby steps, Janina!  That is a side benny from exercise..to find a little self-love and accomplishment. Good for you. We'll work on the cake part later! LOL
