Post Surgical Boo Boo Update
Everything's healing nicely finally, but one wound in my lower left abdomen looks like one of the tufts in a sofa cushion---if you can imagine, it's like someone tied a little button at the end of a piece of thread, stuck the thread through my belly, and tied it wayyyy too tightly to my spine! It makes a serious dent, and it's that sharp pain that's getting in the way of movement and sleeping comfortably.
If I could live around this, I'd be good, but it makes sharp, suck-in-your-breath pinchy pain that you can't bend around or sleep through. :( I hope there's internal sutures that will dissolve, or my surgeon can somehow release it when I see him on Friday.
My blood pressure is still low--96/60 but the fever's gone. Takes me an hour and a half to eat 1/3 cup of Jello. I don't take the codeine anymore because it does nothing to stop the sharp ouchy pain and it's making me loopy and unable to wake up.
I haven't had food per se since July5th, so I don't feel perky, but I do feel better, thankfully.

oh good to hear you are coming along! I would think the doc would give you some vicodin, which i guess is related to codeine, but not as psychotic. Good daytime drug for pain.
Whew...sounds like it is a wayward stitch to me as well. As I said, i had 2 c-sections many years ago and had serious complications, my stitches were hell on earth. My doctor years later finally released the scar from my ab wall it had healed so badly.
Thank you for the update!
Hey Shari,
Glad to hear some positive... sorry you are still in pain though.. That sucks..... But we know you girl... you are a fighter and a survivor.... you will blink and this part will be a memory.... I had two classic c-sections... where they cut you from the top to the bottom of the abdomin....WHEW! You talk about pain..it was a sad day for me when they took my pain pump.... Are you any meds to stabalize your Blood pressure?
Thanks for the update. Glad to hear you're doing better. I plan on following your story closely. You're the first person I actually got a chance to get to know a little bit before they had surgery. In other words, what you say about the journey seems more 'real' than reading it on someone's blog. :)
Hope the pain goes away soon for ya!

Hi Shari!
Glad to see you made it through surgery! I just got back from "vacation". We all got the stomach flu. I had been planning to keep you in my thoughts while I was away..... did I "think" too hard? LOL We lost 4 days out of the 2 weeks, and my poor 6 y/o daughter had to go to the ER to get re-hydrated. Ah.... youth, she was eating and bouncing off the walls just hours later.
Sorry to hear about the *****y stitch! I'm also a two time c-section veteran. I've got a remnant that gets annoying once in a while. Mine was never a major problem though.
Keep yer chin up! Glad you are starting to feel better, hope the perky-ness is not far behind!!
