Anyone hear from MsKaty?
Oh Neeccee, so sorry I never got that call in to you!! I hope you had a great time in Chitown anyway. We had beautiful weather here those days! Actually, I was rather busy taking on a "momma" role with my 2 neices. My sister-in-law went into labor that Wed. night and had a few complications. Everything turned out fine for both mom and baby, but I took the girls for a few days so my brother could stay in the hospital with his wife and the baby.

the longest fingers and toes I have ever seen on a baby & and oh so cute!!
As for my surgery, everything went well. Still sore-but up and around doing "stuff". I have four drains coming out of me draining fluids at a very slow rate now (which hopefully means they will come out soon!), and I'm swollen in places that just shouldn't be swollen!!! lol
My mom took a week and a half off of work to stay with me. She has been a tremendous help. My mom's great that way, I'm lucky. She takes her "care taker" role very seriously!
My spirits are up and I am happy with the results so far- thus being I don't have flabby hanging skin falling off my body anymore! All in all, I'm doing well, with alot of recovery a head of me! I cant' wait until I ride my bike again and go to the gym---I really do miss it.
Thanks so much for thinking of me! Sorry I missed you in Chicago, but I'm gonna try to head west some time next spring or summer to visit my favorite crazy uncle. Maybe we can catch a beer then!!!!
Katy
Oh I did miss you. I was kicking myself for not getting your contact info. Chicago was awesome. wow...double wow.
DH and I went on a 4 hour bike ride along the lake, I was incredulafied!
I saw both Wicked AND Color Purple. With a gun to my head, it would be hard to pick the best play.
I rode a segway, wiped out and fell UP a hill. I am such a tard. But I loved it..call me a Seghead!
Glad to hear about your surgery. will you post pics???
I'm glad you had so much fun. Chicago's a fun place. And, riding by the lake is great. I love people watching as I'm riding. I love Chicago for that reason--so many differences, in every sense. I am very jealous you got to see both Wicked and the Color Purple. I have been wanting to see those forever. I think now I'm just going to have to stop procrastinating and go see them. I read the book Wicked and it was very interesting, great read. I liked the second book, Son of Witch, much better though. I think becuase the author didn't have to write between the lines for that one-he was able to make up his own story. Anyway, once I can be out and about, i'm there.
No, I won't be posting any pictures--at least any naked ones. I don't know, it's just not me.
