What are your plans for the weekend?

I remember Neecee made a post like this a few weeks ago and I read it at just the right time. I was getting ready to slack off! So, my question is: What are you up to this weekend? What are you going to do to stay on track? Will you exercise? I know some of us have "cheat" days -- if you do, how will you manage those? I am going to Boston today and my gym doesn't open until 8 a.m. I want to be out of here by 10, so I woke up early and walked 2 miles just up and down a big street by my house. To Starbucks and back, actually, for a blac****d coffee. Yum. I am pledging to walk 2 more miles in Boston today. I am choosing that over the gym at the Holiday Inn because I don't really want to sweat and have to bring another change of clothes. Is that a lame excuse? It is, isn't it? For breakfast right now I am eating an egg over easy on top of a corn VitaTop. Double yum. I already have a place lined up at my destination where I know I can go for a healthy meal. As far as tomorrow, I plan to go to the gym no later than 2 p.m. (back home) so I don't put it off and use my "long drive" as an excuse. Not sure about food tomorrow yet.

I am alone today again, which is hard, but should get easier soon. My plans are to continue my codeine syrup, try to get in 50 oz. of fluids ( I did it yesterday, but it was painful), to get up and shuffle around more, and with any luck get a shower soon. I will give myself my shots in my belly, stay calm, and look forward to moving freely again-- I miss that so much. Oh, and find a way to sit, since my butt bones are killing me and I can't get on my sides or belly. Jeez, I hope cable will not suck today (what are the chances?)

Hey Sonora! that's awesome that you have this all planned out.  I'm a lot like that, if I dont' plan things out i get panicky!!! My weekend actually started yesterday because I took a vacation day, Yay me!!  I went to the bank and then to check out a new gym.   The new gym is like $15.00 cheaper per month than the one I am currently at.  It offers free tanning and it has more cardio and weights.  It's also a bit more "retail" if that makes sense.  T-shirts and "stuff" for sale.  My gym is very dedicated to being a place to go get healthy.  My gym offers classes as well and this other one doesn't, but I'm torn.  So that wasn't a fun trip, LOL, I hate when I do things that just proceed to confuse me.   After that I went to the library which I love doing when I am not rushed.  I picked up 8 books that will be sure to earn the library a whole lot in overdue fees.  I swear I put a whole wing on the dang library. LOL  Then I came home and relaxed before picking my son up from wrestling camp. Today I started my day at the gym at 7:30 and did 45 minutes of ellip, and then onto my weight lifting class at 8:30.  I'm relaxing for a while before I take a shower, wake my SO from his nap and then head on out to get some lunch and then I'm going to look for a bra to shove these skin boobs into.  I can't wait to get them done.  The girls deserve to live back home again. LOL I hope you have a fantastic trip to Boston today!!!

mmmm vita muffins...corn, you say?   mmmmmmm yes, let's declare our healthier intentions right here and now for the weekend. For me, coming off vaca, I am pentinent, so I will be surprised if I blow it too bad.  The main goal is to eat healthy, espcially veggies and to rest.  i am kind of exhausted mentally and physically. I may be getting a cold, nealry lost my voice this week. Here are some highlights I have in mind: 1.  I am looking forward to eating out of our garden...so many fresh veggies bursting off the vines! Maybe sum gazpacho with cukes, salsa peppers and tomatoes to eat whenever I get the feeling.  Having a BLT for lunch! i will eat 1/2 a sandwich. 2.  Walk both days, even a half hour. Perhaps bike ride with DH tonight, short and sweet. NEED yoga, wow am I ever stoved up from sitting in conference rooms, on planes, etc. 3.  Only had 3 stiff gin & diet tonics last night. Maybe two beers tonight, lite of course. 4.  We made the BEST baked tapatia last night. Had a store bought crust mix, used 1/4 of the melted butter it asked for. I ate mine with NO tartar sauce, unlike skinny DH who slathers it. Had red beans and rice on the side and I made a lowfat coleslaw for myself. Saturday night:  stuffed zuccini squash made with turkey italian sausage. 5.  Read my pile of newspapers i missed while gone.  My morning paper is a ritual and when I miss them I am craving reading all that happened in my town while I was gone.  6.  Finish laundry and unpacking.  This takes me forever!

PS...I do not think you cheesed out on your walking in place of gym!  No way...walking outside is WAY better. Gym time has its place, save that for winter!!!! At least you are making exercise part of your day today.   Can you only imagine the number of people who will go to bed tonight and never miss it? You woke up with a plan...good for you!!!!

My main goal is to exercise on the elliptical both days. If my children behave themselves without too much whining and fighting, I plan to take them to the pool. I always enjoy that because I get in and try to keep moving my arms and/or legs instead of just standing there in the shallow end with them. But, I refuse to take them when they are acting like complete heathens and not listening because I'm afraid they will not listen in the pool and hurt themselves. I REALLY need to get to the grocery store. The dog ate my only stick of deoderant and we only have boy deodorant in the house - I refuse to put it on. So, I will go do that this a.m. and make some good food choices since hubby is gone til Oct. I have finals this week, so I will be studying and reviewing like a mad woman. I feel really overwhelmed right now, so if I just get out of the house and start moving, I think it will help...

Hey everyone! I really do like the weekend planning posts, so I hope we can keep them up. Someone else want to take over next weekend? Hang in there, Shari. Donna, that's a great Saturday! I noticed that my gym has that willpower & grace class you mentioned. Luckily I have not yet noticed it in the class rooms. I think I'd get deathly sore jus****ching. Neecee, I'm so jealous of your garden! What do you grow in it? That must be one of the best ways to stay fit and really appreciate food. Thanks for checking in, Heather. Class and kids? I can't imagine the stress. I would be terrible at it! Just moving around in any way probably helps with it, though, right? P.S. I looove boy deodorant! You do not know what you are missing. Old Spice all the way. I love Boston. I got in my extra 2 miles as pledged, and it is a very easy city to eat well in. As for today, I did 30 minutes on the elliptical, which I am happy with for my "rest" day. HOWEVER, my trainer gave me some breathing exercises to practice and I just realized I have not done aaany of them yet. Maybe before I go to bed? I hate them, though, because I'm so bad at breathing. No, really. Breathing properly for exercise at least. It is really hard to erase 22 years of that!
