i'm Ba-a-a-a-ack!!!!!!
o how I have missed you my peeps!
Chicago was a blast! I have so much to tell you all. But pertinent to our collective goal, I would give myself a C+ for the past five days in health choices away from home. Feeling vacation bloaty, will NOT be going near a scale for a week I'm thinkin. Overall, my conventioner-drinking was pretty under control. I had me sum moments. Goose Island beer, damn YOU!
The first week i did great - long exercise sessions, fresh veggies most days, give myself an A-.
i am so glad to be home and back to my healthy ways and talking with ya'll.
Welcome back Neecee!!!!
I'm glad you had such a fantastic time. You deserved it.
Now, here's a little lecture. And to hear this coming from me, you know I've either gone off the deep end or got some sense in my head.
Every "event" that I can think of or remember, I was on a "diet". I never enjoyed birthday cake, wedding cake, wedding food, bbq food, dinners at restaurants....well you get the idea. Why didn't I enjoy them? Well because I WAS TOO FAT TO BE EATING IN PUBLIC!!!!! Every single fun event is overshadowed by the fact that I was too concerned about the food to really enjoy the situation. I want to be able to change that, I haven't yet. So I am living vicariously through you and your experiences and saying that you deserved to enjoy whatever was on vacation, without guilt.
you are back now, jump back on the healthy living boat with us and remember your vacation with fond memories!!!!!
o my sister...i did enjoy! I really did. part of my "recovery" with OA involves feeling the food in public. Eating alone is BAAAAAAD.
Some of my food/drink ecstasy moments:
1. beer from Wisconsin and other local breweries
2. a black pepper-encrusted burger, medium rare, with Stilton cheese on a black home baked PUMPERNICKEL roll ( i swear, if i died the moment after ingesting this i died, i was a happy woman)
3. About 3-4 servings in various bars of homestyle potato chips. Must be the THANG in Chicago!
4. Cinnamon crisp toasts in my Swedish style oats...milk soaked oats with fresh apple, dry currants, walnuts.
5. Sushi-grade tuna, crabcake side, with remoulade sauce
6. Vietnamese style rolls,
7. Sheboygan brats bites size pieces on a tiny roll with like 7 types of mustards.
8. This should have been number one...can't believe i fergetted it: Ginos' Deep Dish Pizza, old school, sausage patty and cheese. I had two pieces there (trust me I was delightfully miserable way too full) and ate one piece the next morning with DH in our room for breakfast.
