6-Month Challengers - How Are You Doing??

Hi all, Including today we have exactly two weeks left before our first weigh-in for the 6-month weight loss challenge.  Just thought we should check in with each other to see how everyone is doing.  So, how’s it going?  Are you on track with eating and exercising or are you struggling?  Well, if you’re struggling you still have two full weeks to get yourself together.  So, let hear how you’re doing. I’m attaching the chart just so everyone can refresh their memory on what we’ve all pledged.

For me the first week was very shaky, I had a rough time getting out of the starting gate and week one was pretty much a bust.  I was on vacation and we also had a holiday.  Those two things usually spell disaster for me and this time was no different.  I was totally off plan with my eating and my workouts were sketchy at best.  I managed to pull myself together though during the second week.  I’ve been working out (both cardio and strength training) 6 days a week and I’m sticking to my SS meals 6 days a weeks as well.  I’m hoping for a decent weight loss on the 1st.

I just got back from vacation few days ago, and iam trying to get back in the swing of things, but had a great time and some great foods LOL!  but iam getting back into it, i go to my weigh****chers weigh in tonite hope i didnt do to bad.  Delilah

Deliah, vacations are so hard.  I know that some people can do it, but I've never mastered the art of eating well while on vacation.  Get back up on that horse girl.

I haven't had such a great start either, but my hubby (the diet sabatouer!) is leaving for school at the end of the week, so I plan on getting back on track in full force. Yesterday, we had a power outage that lasted almost 24 hours, so the housing office gave us voucers to replace our food, which should be here in the next few days, so I plan on buying only good food! Plus, my friend sold me her elliptical for $150 and it even has a fan on it, so I have no excuse. She's also my walking buddy on weekdays. We "hike" around the inside of the extinct volcano crater we live in - it's 3 miles all the way around up & downhill, so it's a heck of a workout. I plan on being back in force! P.S. Tali, You can put my starting weight as 240 please!

Heather, it sounds like you have a real good plan of action in place.  Wow, an elliptical for just $150 -- what a steal, and a fan too.  Okay, I've got you down for a start weight of 240.

Ugh... I don't want to talk about it right now.. LOL.. I'll give you an update in November. My knee is not being cooperative.. Some days it will let me exercise.. some days it won't. Ugh.. not to mention I've changed docs office. So I have to wait again to get the surgery.. Kill me now someone.

Shari -- I love hearing from you but aren't you supposed to be resting and/or sleeping?  I hope that you are least in bed.  That blood pressure is way low, do you know if it's higher today?  No, don't answer that, go to sleep.
