Depressed
Turn it around! It's the lack of control that really gets me when I eat--so I get it back by moving my body. See if you can do a few hundred calories worth of exercise today! One binge won't cause weight gain-- hell, maybe you will jump start your system or something!
The plateaus suck. You really need to see the numbers move for positive reinforcement, but sometimes they just don't. My SigOt and I have found that after a week or two at a weight, though, we'll experience a precipitous drop of 5-10 pounds, for reasons we just don't understand--- so hang in there!

Girl I feel you. My scale didn't move for like 6 weeks straight and I was doing nothing but behaving myself. It's so frustrating not reaping the benefits of your hard work.
Diva, try to keep your chin up. The scale will move eventually. Maybe you're working out too much and retaining water? I don't know, but you're doing awesome. ((((BIG HUG))))
Hey Diva: I applaud you for posting here and hope you've been feeling the *love* of all the people here who have responded and who want to see you succeed. Doesn't it feel good knowing that you've got this community of people rooting for you?
I find that having a mantra is good, especially for emergency situations! I myself used to go for a peanut butter milkshakes when I was stressed, depressed, anxious OR happy and excited. Now when I feel like going and splurging there, I say to myself "the old Joanna went for peanut butter milkshakes, and she wasn't happy with the way she looked." That usually knocks some sense into me. I still go for milkshakes, but A LOT less often and it's usually a special occasion like my birthday. I'd love to hear your mantra when you think of it - make sure it's really personalized to you. Not something like "junk food is bad." Good luck! You'll start seeing the scale move soon . . . promise!! -Joanna
