Hi, Marky... When I was young, I'd always say that I feared I'd be in a car accident, killed by a burglar, in a tornado...whatever crisis was my crisis of the moment! lol My parents would always give me statistics. "Now Bridget, only one in 100 people have that happen." I would always say, "Well...someone has to be that one!" I'm using this to MY advantage now! Someone has to be those statistical anomolies...may as well be us, huh? lol I'm happy to be taking this journey with you and please see my post above about my best friend.

Welcome Bridget. I haven't had surgery myself, but I had a skinny male dr who weighed no more than 120 lbs tell me that gastric bypass would be the only thing that worked for me. Hmph! I've lost 30 lbs on my own so far, so I'm determined to do it through diet/exercise and show that bean pole!

Hi Bridget - (love the name! - my youngest daughter's name is Bridget) Sorry to hear about the horrors - glad you got through it! I think we should change the name of the surgery board to the "anomaly" board!! LOL We'll show those nay sayers a thing or two! "fur kids" LOL Welcome to our world!

That, is definitely a doggie kiss face iffin I ever saw one! I have 2 girls, 6 & 8 - almost 7 & 9! We want to get a boxer puppy by the end of the summer once we are done with vacation. I can't wait for the doggy slobbers!!! pupppeeezzzz - ooooo- they are sooo cuuuute!

Lap Band on 10/04/07

Hi Bridget, I have been researching LapBand surgery myself so I have spent quite abit of time over there on that forum. Your posts are ones that I always read because you have a truly wonderful sense of humor! I have been keeping up with your situation lately and have been keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. I was hoping you would come over and join us!!!! I've had someone comment on my avatar and showing my true personality and I thought of you then, you look like you are the happiest person on earth. I know you've been through a great deal of hardships lately but you still seem to be keeping the faith and helping others in the meantime! As a matter of fact you replied to me the other day about my WLS seminar post over in LapBand world. Welcome to our crazy little Stubborn world, we are all just a bunch of nuts, and I know that you have learned some eating habits with the band that will help you remain successful! Great to have you here!
