Hello Everyone, Today is the day that we start the challenge.  Some of us have given ourselves some pretty big goals.  I'm going for 48 pounds which will get me to Onederland, so I have my work cut out for me.  I'll have to average about 2 pounds a week to make my goal.  It's a stretch but not impossible.  I'll certainLY have to stay on my game, stick to my meal plan most of the time and and get my butt moving 6 days a week. I'm still missing some start weights so if yours is not posted, let me know, that is if you want it posted. This is a 6-month challenge so this is going to be more of a marathon than a sprint, so we will need to support each other along the way.  I will start gathering the July weight losses on the 1st of August and do the same for the subsequent months.  So, are we ready?  Good luck everyone!! Ladies and gents, on your mark, get set -- GO!

Ha-a-a-ay there! I kicked off my new goal challenge with a 2.75 hour bike ride. Gorgeous day today here. Ten pounds will be so exciting for me, too, but I plan on making it happen! That is about the rate I have been losing these days...half pound a week.   21 weeks or so, right?

Tali...if it's not too late, would you add me?  I'm at 165 and would like to be at 145.  Twenty pounds.

I fell off the wagon this week and have been hermitting since. Glad I saw this. Today's going to be my fresh start. I'm also meeting with a trainer tomorrow morning (SCARED AS ALL HELL)! Put me down for 60, starting weight of 240. Ugh, that HURTS to type. I gained about 10 pounds - NO****er weight, I assure you - with just 5 days of mammoth binges. It would have been so nice to start at 230. But here I am!

My official starting weight as of July 1, 2007 is 279.5 pounds.  Please add that to your chart for me.  I've already put that I want to lose 30 pounds by December 31, 2007. Denise Phares

Hi, I think I want to get in on this too.  I can't believe I am putting this out there but here goes.  My current weight is 378 and my 6 month weight loss goal is 100lbs.  Please add me to the roster. Best of luck to each of you!

Maren-- that's a heck of a goal. You sure that's do-able, non-op? I started at 368, and lost about 56 pounds in 4 months, and everyone tells me that's pretty fast--- faster than a lot of post ops. Don't stress yourself out!

Hi Shari, Yes i am sure it is do-able because I have done it before, am I sure it is do-able AGAIN?  H*LL  NO, but I will do the best I can and see what happens.  I know for me that if I am not really challenged I will not give it my all.   Maren

I like your attitude! I just know that it does slow some as you go from super-sized to smaller-sized, so don't hurt yourself! Now I have to figure out how the hell I am gonna lose 75 pounds...who talked me into this madness? Oh, the pressure!
