My week

This week has been the better of all the weeks since I began this journey to better health 3 weeks ago.  Hunger and cravings have been less, and feel more satisfied with my meals.  I did cheat the beginning of the week, but I think I was coming off being so restricted with what I was eating.  Now my meal plans have a lot of variety and OMG so good........  If this is dieting ....... I don't want to go back.

I was happy to have stepped on the scales this morning and was actually 3lbs lighter this week.  My plan this next week is to continue what I have done this week as far as meal plans, and now start walking 3 times a week for 10 minutes in the morning when it is cool. Have to go to the doctor next week for a check up, so we will see what she says.

Yay!!!!!  It feels great when ya can say that. Me too - my food plan is not all that restrictive, so even when I whine, i can't say i am suffering all that much. The "cost" is that weight comes off slower. My PCP is happy, tho, he says that is great for it to come off that slow.

Thanks Neecee, It does feel good.  I know in the past I lost weight but it was rather fast and the diet was very restrictive.  My coach has really been helpful with deilcious recipes, and showing me how to make this my life.  I believe what I am doing now I can continue on with.  The salad thing the last two weeks was just about to bore me out of my mind.

Hi Kelly, You are doing so well, I know you can do this, heck I know we can do this.  Permanent lifestyle changes is what's it's all about.  So, what's up with this coach you speak of???

Thanks Tali,  I found a wonderful friend a few months ago and she has been a great inspiration to me.  I didn't realize she had a weight problem in the past, actually 2 years ago she was where I am now.  I was talking with her one day when I was contemplating WLS, and she offered to be a support for me in whatever I want to do.  She offered to give me all her recipes and meal plans she has used as well a copy of her journey.  She truly believes in lifestyle change and not so much you can't have this or that, but how much of it you can have.  So the meals are balanced, tasty and filling, and it seems like something I can do forever.

Congrats on your loss.  It sounds like you're getting a great plan and support system together, which will mean you WILL be successful.  I have found that if I give myself variety, I don't feel the urge to cheat.  AND if I do want say ice cream, then I will have some but just one serving size.

Great news on the 3lb loss.  That is great.  Adding in the walking is a really good idea.  Your doing great and is seems like you know what you gotta do.
