Houston has weird weather.. One minute it's raining hard, the next minute the ground is dry and it's hot as hell.. then you get those it's raining and the sun is shining at the same time days. This week, it's suppose to rain all week + weekend here! I am hating this. It did the same thing all last week on and off. It makes the commute awful, and its bad walking weather! It's so much better to walk outside than on the treadmill in the house. I'm tempted to just go walking in the rain, because I won't stay on the treadmill very long with it being boring.  What's the weather like in your area...? Send me some sunshine and blue skies pls!

I'm in Chicago, and it's the humidity that's the killer here.  Today will get up to the high 80s (the humidity is almost 90%), and later on in the week it's supposed to get close to 90.  No rain expected for the next few days and Saturday and Sunday are supposed to both be beautiful days (about 80 and sunny).

Bama here, and we are in the worst drought situation ever recorded.  93degrees with a heat index of about 100. Wish you could send us some rain but you probably wouldn't want the drought conditions.  We now have air you can wear, because if you walk out you are almost instantly covered with perspiration. I'm sure ya'll have that out there in Teaxas as well though!

Normally my area and death valley have the hottest temps in the nation! The joke is.."but it's a dry heat".   So today it is 102. I usually love it here, tho I admit it takes sum getting used to. People who run between their cars and their air conditioned homes suffer the worst. I have played ball for 15 years here, even when it has been 110 degrees out! I often think of the song Oh Susanna...the sun so hot i froze to death, Susanna don't you cry! we get used to doing our yard work in the early mornings and holing up in the late afternoons where possible. I would hate to be an outside laborer here, that must suck eggs. It will get the hottest of all day long at supper time...which is weird for most people, cuz it should be getting cooler by then. Sometimes it will not get cool at all til 10 p.m.

Except for the 100+ run days, it is actually moderate here all year long, I really do love it.  Rarely too cold, tho it has been known to snow and last like 24 hours. I was raised in Illinois, and THAT sounded a lot like your days...just be sittin there and oooops, there's a bigass thunderstorm popping up outa nowhere. Stupid!

Rain, lots of it, accompanied by lightening and lots of boom boom.  When there's a break it's 90+ and 120% or more humidity.  Feels like a friggin sauna outside! I walk about 3/4's of a mile to and from work. The mornings are the worst because of the sauna effect.  Afternoons isn't too bad heat wise except that it's usually pouring by then. Yesterday was so bad I had to get a ride from a co-worker to my truck because the water was so deep in the roads I needed water boots!  Today... just hot so far.
