Now they know they wrong for this....I workout at 24 hour fitness... why are ALL their scales set to weigh you five pounds heavier.....  I met with a trainer who put me on the scale and then wrote down a weigh 5 pounds less than what the scale had said....  I asked why they do that.... and the trainer motivation.....   I laughed and thought hell naw!!!  Just wrong.....

As if we didn't already have enough issues with those darn scales!!!!  My gym doesn't do scales at all.  They don't have fat calibration, scales or "diets" that they suggest.  They are all about being healthy at whatever weight.  Works for me!!!

I would have not in hesitating asking why in the world did she do that for!!!   The best advise I got to was to weigh yourself on the same scale... Everyone scale is calibrated differently!  That is so cruel!

Diva -- I would have to agree with that advice.  No two scales are calibrated exactly the same.  I weigh myself on my scale once a week and that's the only number I go by.  I had a physical a couple of weeks ago and my doctor's scale showed me about 9 pounds lighter than my scale.  Didn't matter to me, I go by my scale.  Only when you use the same scale will you get an accurate accounting of gains and losses.
