Heather I just had to tell you how great you are doing.  You have lost 30 pounds in just 2 months -- that is fantastic and you should be proud of yourself girl.  Stop thinking about how much further you have to go and focus on your accomplishments as they come.  I'm so proud of you and hope to be where you are in a few months.

Thank you, I just don't feel very good about it & I don't know why. I guess it's because I feel like I could have lost more had I not been lazy 2 days last week or if I wouldn't have caved into my craving this morning, etc... those kind of thoughts. I was more excited about my best friend's  10 lb weight loss than mine. I hope it's just a phase!

Yes Heather, Gael is right, you have to be kind to yourself.  Why is it that we oftentimes find it so much easier to be kinder to other people (even strangers) than we can to ourselves?  Heather I really hope for your sake that you're able to snap out of it because it ain't gonna get much better than 30 pounds in 2 months, unless you're willing to go the WLS route, of course.  Be happy about what you did do, and try not to dwell on the coulda, woulda, shouldas, okay?

Heather, put your head on the monitor this instant cuz I am gonna slap it. 15# a month average????? And you don't feel good about it?????  Try being me...a crisp lil 9 pound weight loss in 5 months. Now THAT sucks. Sure i am glad it ain't going the other direction, but c'moooooonnnnnnnn.  You are doing great. three pounds a week is over the amount that should be expected to be lost to get max benefit. Any more than that is considered to not be so healthy and probably not teaching you much about long term loss maintenance.  We al feel that way at times, the why did I eat that feeling. It's because we are human, sometimes we even NEED that much more food. Usually us fatties are so out of touch with what real hunger is, we don't know it when it actually happens. Whatever you are doing is working, keep on widdit.

HEDDER! Happy UP, muchacha! That's a seriously tasty loss! I get sulky too. One reasons is that my clothes sizes aren't changing much. I was a 5X in blouses at 368 pounds, and still AM at 310 pounds. Now what the crap is THAT about, huh? Just enjoy the way you feel. The rest will shake out-- you're doing great.

LOL Thanks again for the words of encouragement, they really help. I guess the size thing Shari is talking about affects me. In 2005, I went from size 26 to 18s and threw out all my "fat" sizes and now have a closet full of 18s I can't quite wear yet. I'm hoping to squeeze into a pair of "stretch" 18s I have for the Gretchen Wilson concert next week! That was my treat to myself for the weight loss - a concert since hubby and I didn't end up going to his military ball.

Oh, and I've started taking a new vitamin supplement for the past 2 weeks - holy cow, let me tell ya, this stuff is the "bomb diggity" as my best friend says it, lol.  It's this stuff called Bazi - its got all these vitamins and minerals - better than the health drink Noni (sp?) everybody seems to be into lately.  Anywho, my hair and nails looking better b/c of it - I just may fork out the money to go get them fancied up professionally. (side note: I am usually the world's biggest tomboy and don't do "prissy" things like getting hair/nails done, but I figured I've worked so hard I deserve a treat!)

Yes Heather, you definitely deserve a treat.  I'm gonna check out this Bazi stuff, sounds good.  I got my mother started on Noni about a year ago, she's 86 and in pretty good shape for her age. About clothes sizes -- it's funny how everyone is different.  Some people seem to go down a size when they just lose 5 or 10 pounds.  For me, I have to lose about 30 pounds to go down in a size.  Also what's annoying is that my top and bottom are two different sizes.  I'm top heavy and now wear 22-24 in tops, but in slacks I wear an 18 (if the waist band is elastic, and 20 if there's a zipper involved).  I'm hoping that once I lose a lot of weight that I will once again be one-sized.
