I think most of us have extra hard times staying on track on the weekends, so let's try to lay out a plan NOW before we come back here whining on Monday! I plan to ride my bike 20+ miles today.  I put in lots of hours this week, so only owe the compnay about 3 hours on Friday...the rest belongs to my bike.  On Sunday, DH has to work, so I plan to do a big ride on Sunday morning too. Saturday perhaps a walk. Food wise?  Of course, here's the hard part. I have compnay in town this week, so I have several known potluck BBQ suppers coming up. I plan to not show up too hungry for starters. I only have about 25 WW points to use this weekend as my bonus points, so my plan is to take tiny portions of the high fat/sugar things and pile on more veggies, even if I have to bring them myself!  I am kind of burnt out with drinking lately, so that is not a pull.  NOT to say I won't slug a lite beer or three. I have some Sam Adams light chilling right now.

For exercise, that's up in the air right now.  My left hip was hurting a little yesterday, but since I hadn't exercised all week I did my 1 mile walking DVD anyway.  Can we say STUPID move here.  My hip let me know the rest of the day yesterday that it was sooooooooooooooo not happy with me.  Right now I have a heating pad on it and will be taking more Advil shortly.  So for today and possibly tomorrow, no major walking trips or exercise DVD.  I do plan to sit on my tush and do some free weights.  That will help at least somewhat. Since the exercise is iffy, I'm planning on being extra careful with my calories and am going to stay in the 1,200-1,300 calorie range.

I pledge to do my damn yoga tape at least once and keep my rear end away from fast food joints.

Yes Neecee, weekends are always so much harder.  I always eat more on the weekends, especially Saturdays.  What I plan to do to help keep me on track is stick to my Seattle Sutton for my main meals.  I'm not saying that I won't have anything extra, cause I know I will, but for breakfast, lunch and dinner I will stick with SS.  And, I also know tomorrow that I will have a couple/three glasses of white zifendel (sp?).  It just wouldn't be Saturday without a little hooch.  But, I will workout tomorrow to offset some of the damage.

This post saved my weekend! I am out of town right now and forgot to take my workout pants (Freudian slip, for sure). I tried doing my usual treadmill walking routine in jeans and crappy shoes but it was NOT working -- I got to a mile and that was it. I was about to wimp out, and then I realized it was a lame excuse. I drove out to the mall and begrudgingly picked up a pair of cotton pants (which I did not want to spend money on) and a pair of proper walking shoes (which I was planning to buy anyway, and they were on sale here). I'm going to complete my routine as soon as the family with children vacates the very small gym at this Holiday Inn. My plan for the rest of the w/e is to do a lighter version of my routine tomorrow morning -- maybe 2 miles, at a leisurely pace -- and "rest" on Sunday as I make the long drive back home to NY. For breakfast tomorrow I'm saving two pieces of a "personal size" veggie pizza I had tonight for dinner. This restaurant in Knoxville, the Tomato Head, is the BEST! As for Sunday food plans, I vow to stay away from fast food, no matter how easy it seems on the road. I hardly ever eat it at home, but on the road, it sure does beckon strongly. I'll stock up with a low-sugar bar or two tomorrow, if I can find a good grocery store.

My plan for the weekend is my grandson, taking him to the park and feed ducks tomorrow and will mostly get a mile or so in walking, or at least hope so, bought some new walking shoes today with some better cushioning for my heel............. Now for me I will just stick to what I am doing.......  choco yogurt blueberry protein shake for breakfast.......An apple for a snack between times ......then later a yummy chicken sandwich on whole wheat with yummy home grown tomatoe and lettuce...........  Then a huge salad for supper with some chicken tenders and salad spritzer......... Then some Dannon fit n trim yogurt for desert later if I feel like I need to eat something.
