Greetings!! I am new to the group!
Hello All,
I am new to this website... I know the majority of people have had or are pending surgery. I have elected to just change my lifestyle. Currently I weigh 282, down from 288 a month ago. All is going fine so far. I admit I get jealous of those who have had the WLS and lose like 12 pounds a week, but I have prayed about it and just believe that this is the right way for me. I have been working out for 30 a day during lunch burning about 350 - 400 calories. I eat yogurt for breakfast and snack on peanuts and raisins. I normally drink a protein shake before going to work out.... I eat fat free pop corn and try not to eat dinner or any thing to heavy past 8 pm. That is hard at times... I am hoping to share tips and find encouragement here. Looking forward to all responses. Thanks
Hi Diva! Yup I know whatcha mean about the jealousy feelings.
I'm sure you know by now that all of the wls peeps have to go back to exactly what we are doing at some point! So, if nothing else, you can rest assured that you are doing all you can toward your best health.
I hope you are eating some kind of supper? That's not good to go to bed tooo hungry, either.
welcome!!!!
Hey There Neecee,
I am actually eating like at 7:30 am, 10:30 am, protein shake before gym at about 12:30pm and then 2:30pm, then dinner by 6:30pm.... I have two kids, and am very active in church, so I try to hurry and cook and eat before the activities.... I am trying,...lol
I noticed some of the WLS patients struggle with changing lifestyle.... so I fugure let me start there first. Thank you for you greeting!!!
Diva (or working my way to being one...LOL)
Hi Diva,
Welcome to our little neck of the woods. Yes, we are definitely a minority on this site so we need all the help we can get. Sounds like you may be skipping meals. My advice would be not to if you are. Letting yourself go too long without food has been the death of many a dieter. Try to eat something every 2 or 3 hours.
Glad to have you with us and hope you post often.
