I won't beg, it might come off as whiny! LOL!!!! But we love you round here, love your sense of humor, your pizza recipes, and we will miss you terribly if you leave.
I'm so sorry you are not comfortable here, it wasn't something I said, was it? I know sometimes we all have differing opinions about things, but that's what makes the world go round!!! It sure would be a boring planet to live on if everyone thought the same! Hope you change your mind and hang around.

hey Shari, I have to say I would be sorry to see you go. You bring intelligence and insightful thinking to this board, and that is a welcome addition. I was a very active member of this board at the beginning of my journey. Believe it or not I was one of the people *****quested the board be put here, there was not a non-op forum when I joined in June of 2005. I think this board is important on a site that is devoted to Obesity, regardless of whether the site is devoted to WLS or weight loss by other means. The addition you make to this board is invaluable. Okay, enough sucking up and onto the other part of my post. As someone who has lost 128 pounds by "diet and exercise alone", or as I say "my own way", I cringe when you write that the prognosis for your continued and prolonged weight loss is a negative one. I know that this is not your prognosis, but it makes me frustrated nonetheless. I want badly to defy the odds, and i wish I had a crystal ball to look into the future to see if I will. Since I don't have one I have to continue to work every single day to make sure that I DO defy the odds. I truly want you to be one of the ones that defies the odds with me, but you have posted an awful lot about your health problems, your family history and your future as you see it. Frankly, I completely see where you are coming from. Perhaps I caught mine in time. I just turned 42 in March and started my journey when I was 40. I think I picked the magic window because I know the older I got the harder it was going to be to lose anything at all. I also didn't suffer from any health problems other than bad knees. I was just thinking yesterday that my knees hurt as much as before, which is very frustrating. But the damage is done and can't be undone. What am i saying here? I know you don't need my approval to do what you need to do, or what you've come to peace with. I know this decision was not easy for you and you are, if nothing else, resiged to your fate. I for one wish you didn't have to do it, but I know that I couldn't be wishing that more than you. I do wish you a safe journey and please try to come back every once in a while to keep in touch.
