Tali's Journey - Day 1
Well, this is it -- the day that I start my journey to health.
Along with my new diet prgram, I've decided to also do a herbal colon cleanse. I have no doubt that my colon needs a good cleaning. I researched cleanses a while back and decided to go with Dr. Natura's advanced internal cleansing program called Colonix. This cleanse is supposed to (1) clean the colon of accumulated toxic buildup and prevent formation of new build-up, (2) help to eliminate parasites and (3) help to restore normal bowel function and promote regularity. It seems pretty simple, there are only 3 components to it. (1) In the morning you take two anti-parasite capsules. (2) You follow that with a fiber powder that you mix in a blender with some juice. (3) In the evening before bed you drink an herbal detox tea. Throughout the day you're supposed to drink plenty of water, but other than that you eat regular meals but you should avoid red meat, alcohol, junk food, etc. Why bother to cleanse if you're going to put junk right back in?
My Meal Plan
I will eat three main meals, two snacks (probably fruit) and a fruit smoothie (frozen fruit, a banana and soy milk) in the evening. My calorie range will be 1600-1800. Beginning tomorrow evening I'll be eating Seattle Sutton meals, until then I'll have high fiber cereal with vanilla yogurt and a boiled egg for breakfast, and Lean Cuisine frozen meals for lunch and dinner.
My Exercise Plan
-20 mins. on the recumbent bike 6 days a week (will eventually increase to 30 mins.)
-20 mins. strength training 6 days a week (Mon., Wend. Friday - lower body, Tues., Thurs. and Sat. upper body)
-sit-ups on a stability ball 6 days a weeks
-No exercise on Sunday but may do a little stretching.
So, that's it -- onward and downward......
Wow! You go, girl! All that exercise right off, too! Does all this cost very much? I couldn't afford an expensive weight loss plan like this one sounds like. I couldn't even afford Weigh****chers. I can only afford OA, which is basically free, if you don't count the books and materials you buy, and the Seventh Traditions (support them through our own contributions, around $1.00 a week, if you go to one meeting).
