Okay, 'fess up. If you could eat anything you want today without repercussions (yes, this is a fantasy-- either that OR you've had a DS) what would it be?

Nestle toll house cookie ice cream and a bag of doritos and that's just for breakfast! Onion rings, pizza, garlic bread, gouda cheese...I'm salivating so I'm going to stop now and go eat a carrot stick.

I'd start out with some buckwheat pancakes and real butter and maple syrup with a tall glass of milk or two.  Morningstar Farms sausage patties. maybe some fresh strawberries. After my big A.M. nap, I'd want pizza and diet coke Spaghetti and meatballs, tons of real grated parmesan.  Garlic chew bread.

I'm going with vodka alla penna with chicken, fresh bruschetta, chocolate mousse. Or-- conversely-- a whole bowl of chili con queso and warm tortilla chips. Or--- my class was talking about deep-fried Oreos from a local carnival-- that's just plain damn evil. -------------------------------------------- Hey-- speaking of kids-- I had to bake cookies for an after school party today, but couldn't handle it-- so I had two of my girls go to Home Ec and make 'em during homeroom (they got free samples). How lame am I?

I think the cookie choice was a good one. If you don't want to slide, don't go where it's slippery! And i must add...as i was posting what I'd like to eat given no repercussions, It actually did not ring many bells. For one thing luckily in the mornings i am soooo not hungry.  But the other thing is, most of those things I listed to eat make me too full very quickly and that does not sound good anymore. I guess it is actually bloat.

The Sig Ot and I discovered the same thing--- even the stuff that sounds good really feels like crap when you go back to it-- so fantasies are pretty much all that's left for me. I really do plan to have a couple of specific "off plan" meals before July 2nd-- but it's not likely that they'll be the binges of yore-- I just can't eat like that anymore.

In case you're wondering:

1) Italian food mentioned in above post 2) Burger and onion rings at Fuddruckers 3) Queso dip and a margarita at Don Pablo's 4) A slice of sicilian pizza 5) A bag of Doritos 6) Picnic food on the last day of school

I'm such a spastic colon that I will put every bit of it in my FitDay, too. After all that, two charming weeks of nothing but liquids. STILL required, even if I have a 50 pound loss-- tell me there's any justice with that! All told, I hope to be down 50 pounds pre-surg...but it'll probably be closer to 60 with a liquid diet. Not too shabby.

yes, that liquid diet thing...in my studies of wls, a big debate on whether it actually "shrinks" the liver or not, which is the line used by the surgeon in our town. There are surgeons who don't require it. Having said that, I would do what my surgeon dictated regardless of my naturally argumentative nature.

The liquid diet is multipurposed, I suppose. If it's to shrink the liver, well crap-- I lost 45 pounds in 3+ months-- that oughta do THAT. If it's to clean out the system, you sure as hell don't need two weeks. If it's to break old eating habits before surgery-- I've been doing that for months. If it's because most people will do less than they're told anyway-- well, c'mon-- be a grown-up with me. So basically, what I am telling you is that I might do ONE week.  I'm generally compliant, but not for nonsensical reasons. I like a little science in my science.

I'd go for two eggs over easy, bacon, sausage, hash browns and a toasted bagel with lots of butter.

A pizza with extra cheese for lunch and garlic knots

Everything on the menu from taco bell.
