Weekly Weigh In
Well my DB and I weighed ourselves this weekend. I lost another .5lb, so I've lost a total of 10.5 pounds in 3 weeks. My poor DB gained another pound, so between his big loss of 6 pounds and his gains he's lost a total of 2 pounds in 3 weeks. He was a bit bummed, but as I told him, you've just gotta give yourself time, keep check on your calories (plus eating three meals a day, which he doesn't do), and exercise.
I'm happy with my progress, especially since I did have Cold Stone Cremery ice cream a night and then Blue Bunny ice cream another one. I know...Melinda back away from the ice cream. I'm very proud of the fact that I DO have ice cream in the house right now, but am not craving it or gorging myself. Before I could eat a quart of ice cream in 2-3 days. YIKES!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Nowadays, I do try and eat only one serving and then not every day or even every other.
It's funny, before this I had no idea how many calories I was putting in my mouth nor did I realise how quickly those suckers can add up. Now that I keep track and at least I can make a better decision about what I put in my mouth. Sure I have a bad moment here and there, but at least with writing everything down I'm holding myself accountable.
You hit the nail on the head right there. You have to eat to lose. Especially breakfast. That has been key for me. Congrats on the loss. I'm flying solo with my diet. Hubby is in his own world and is just not interested in health or exercise. I try to include him in my exercise or cook healthy for him but it is an individual thing for sure. When he is ready he will start. He needs to lose about 40 pounds total. Keep up the good work.
