Today is a brand new start

I finally figured out that if I wait until I get home from work to exercise it is too hot, or I need to rest, or I need to do landry, or, or, or.......SO today I decided if I do it first thing in the morning I don't have time to procrastinate. I've walked a mile this morning already, and they have a beginners step class this afternoon downstairs at the gym.  I had a friend that was going to start it with me today, but she forgot to bring her gym clothes, so she isn't going to go this afternoon.  At first I thought well I'll just wait until next week to start it, but since I've got some oxygen back to my brain I'm thinking WTH; I can do this by myself.  So now that I've posted it to you guys you will hold me to it, right?  If I make a fool outta myself, who cares? I've finally got my eating habits pretty much set...of course I stumble sometimes but I just get up nad go right back to my plan.  So now I'm going to kick it up another notch (again) and get back on track with my exercise. I have just about decided to quit taking the appetite suppresant the doc put me on.  I lost more weight before I started it than after, and I attribute a lot of that to the exercise.....this pill speeds up my system all day at work when I'm forced to sit here at this desk and work but then it seems I'm burned out by the time I get home, does that seem feasible?  I'm not sure about that theory but I'm going to try to not take it for a couple of days and work out and see if I can't kick that .5 lb back up to the 2 lb. I need to lose each week to meet my goal, any thoughts?

Like you-- once I am home, I am dead. I carry my swim/workout clothes with me and stop at the gym BEFORE I go home.

I'm not fond of medications. They make it too hard for me to know who and what is *me*, if you know what I mean.

Are you logging your food? I can't tell you how much of a difference that makes for us-- find a partner and swap sign-ons--- it'll keep you honest. I'm also convinced the heat is doing something weird to me. I am very hot-- all damn day-- but not sweating . It's yuck!

Work it girl!!  Sounds like you got it figured out.    I'm like you - I'm much better when I work out in the morning.  After work and after a 1 hour drive home in traffic I'm beat.  Of course, I haven't actually been working out lately.  I need to get that going again if I'm ever going to get anywhere.  I got the food thing down and I too need to kick it up a notch - - or 4!  So, I'm jumping on the bandwagon . . .  Here's my commitment:  Starting today walk at least 1 mile daily and work on core and abs before bed.  I'll do that for 2 weeks and then add water aerobics/jogging 2X a week (once hubby gets the pool ready), and then change things up a bit.  Does this sound doable -- or too easy?? I hear ya Angela.  Once I get home I just want to relax and veg out (but not pig out so that's good I think).  Sounds like you are getting a good handle on your exercise plan.  Just keep trying and trying, that's all ya can do.
