Are there doctors that specialize in weightloss and not just surgery??

Are there doctors that specialize in helping you lose weight through methods other than Weight Loss Sugery? How do I find one?  I'm in TX by the way.  Thanks Amanda

hey Amanda, there is a doctor in Georgetown tx and hamilton texas.  I have seen the both doctors... I live in Austin  so course Georgetown is closer but i have had the most  progress with the doctor in hamilton.

I suspect just abot any nutritionist can help you with this.  There are also many clinics out there who have doctors on staff that specialize in weight loss.  Surely there are some weight-loss centers in your area that are overseen by your local hospital or medical center.

Look under "Bariatric Doctor"  I would also run it past your primary care doc first...I did and I am glad I did!
