Craptastic!
Pity Party Thread!
There's nothing really wrong-- I just feel crappy!
First off-- my ass bone hurts. Keep in mind, I didn't even know I HAD an assbone.
Second-- My classroom is over 85 degrees all damn day. This gives me a tremendous headache and makes me verrrrry short tempered. :(
Third-- Still not over the carb coma from Tuesday, but went to the gym anyway. Sure enough, I am up 2 pounds from last Friday. Which is The Suck.
Fourth- My right knee hurts-- dunno why-- and I did a little recumbent biking anyway--- and I do mean a little. Five minutes. Then the pain was just too much.
Fifth- So I hit the pool, but just couldn't get into it. Kept feeling like I might pass out. No "push" today. Might be because...
Sixth- My crappity C-Pap mask broke in half last night and won't be bac****il the weekend-- so I am a wee light on the blood oxygen.
Seventh--- Did I mention that I am up almost 2 pounds this week? Two? I had one lousy dinner and now I am alll verklempt! But I am NOT changing my goddamn ticker! I will be back, ya hear me? BACK!
Poopage.

Here's a great big hug for you. You're a riot crappy or not. Can you take a fan and put in on your desk or at least blowing in your general direction? That sucks. I hate being hot too. I used to take one to work and have it on from the time I got there. Feel better real soon and be careful with the light headedness.
Ohhhhhhhhh 85 degrees in a room full of rambunctious kids, you are one amazing lady. For me, 85 degrees with ONE ten-year-old nephew is about all I could handle. Don't get me wrong, love my nephew and would do almost anything for him, but he's a ball of energy at any temperature and I don't deal well with hot and humid.
Hope today is a better day for ya and your carb coma has lifted. Man that's too bad about your CPAP mask. I can't go one night without my machine or I would be a hazard on the road, not to mention nodding off at my desk.
You'll lose those 2 pounds. You've done so well and once your carb coma is over and the knee pain subsides you'll be back to exercising as much as you can and getting those pounds and even more off.
I'm sorry you had such a poopy day. I feel ya on the heat though. It's been averaging around 100 here in the desert, but at least I'm in airconditioned offices. I can't imagine spending all day in 85 degree heat, let alone trying to teach a bunch of kids who are probably feeling just as crabby as you were! Kudos to you!! You deserve a nice relaxing bubble bath and a glass (or 3) of wine.
I hope today goes better!! Sonja
Shari, I hope you're feeling better! Your post caught my eye because of the hot school. My 7th grade son's school is NOT air conditioned except for the office and cafeteria. We've had 90s temps for over a week now. Today a remonstrance began; my city wants to spend $500 millon to upgrade the school buidlings, several of which are not ACd and most needing serious repair, and some people in this town actually OPPOSE that effort! Hense the remonstrance. Both sides are going to have to get petitions signed; if the "against" petitions get more valid signatures nothing can be done for a year and then they have to come back with a completely different proposal.
ARRRRRGH!!!! How in the BLUE HELL can any one teach, or learn, when they're so hot they're miserable?!
