my fud today
I too am very interested in how you are doing now. When I had surgery my insurance would not cover the lap band, only RNY, but at the time I was not concerned with the lap band because I thought I never thought I would not dump and have a stretched stoma now. I wish I could have gotten that surgery instead of the GB. Where is your "port" located? Can you feel it with your finger? I am so jealous of you right now(smile).

My port is on the left side of my belly button, on my waist. I don't think I can feel it, but I'm not sure. I feel a lump but it seems too small to be the port so I think it's just scar tissue. I'm terrified to get a fill. I heard the needles are huge and I hate needles. I lose weight as slow as a normal diet: 2-3 pounds a week so far. So it's not like Rny, where you lose like a mad man. But then again, I have very little restriction right now, because I've only got 2cc's in my 10cc band. So restriction will come after my first fill (on June 11th). I'm nervous about it but whatever. So far I'm down 17 pounds in about four weeks so I'm happy with that. Though I know that won't be my average at all times, 2-3 pounds a week is pretty nice for me. That means I'll lose 104-156 pounds the first year. So I'm happy I got it done.
