Rhonda, so sorry you're having health issues.  My mom's b/p dropped like that back in Jan. they rushed her to hospital and admitted her to ICU.  She was also having some oxygen issues as well, but they said the b/p had to do with being dehydrated, they flushed her system with water pills, checked out her heart, put her on a CPAP and sent her home.  Anyway, the hysterectomy thing....go for it...unless you are planning on having more (or any) children, take care of those female problems, I suffered for about 6 years before I finally said enough, and found a doctor to accomadate me. I feel so much better, have so much more energy and am not a snappy b---h to my husband and kids.  I agree you need to get yourself well before you try to resume any kind of weight loss strategy.  We'll be here to support you, just give us a holler. If there is anything you need send me a message and I will respond.  You are going to be amazed at how much better you will feel after you get your surgery...when this happens, you will be able to exercise more and it will be worth it in the long run.  Just take care of yourself right now, ok?!!!!!

HI... thanks for answering me.. Yes I was supposed to go to female doctor this morning at 9:45 but i got a call and they had to reschelude ,, due to havin to deliver.. So I go back on Monday .. Yes the diet I was on I was starving, only drinking fluids threw the day and only dinner at night.. I was put on bumex water pill and it made me go to the bathroom every 5 minutes.. For the first 2 weeks of doing this.. I lost 14 lbs.. My doctor loved it.. I was TIRED< i was sick, I was just down right about to die or felt like it .. As for the female troubles I have been battling them for a couple of years now.. Last year in May I had a D/C.. worked for a couple of months BUT then.. back to the suffering. I decided to NOT put up with it anymore and go back to my doctor,, and he said before If i had anymore trouble he will do a complete hysterectomy.. Now i am 38 ,, i have one child he is 15.. NOT planning anymore.. so this sounds wonderful to me. and i dont have to deal with the pain!!! After my surgery 6 weeks they tell me I can start back dieting and my exercises.. So I will need ya'll's help.. I will post and answer ... LOL>. Thank you very much  rhonda

Hi Rhonda! When you say diet, do you mean starvation type things? I am thinking what in the world could be wrong with trying to plan balanced meals, which some people interpret as a diet, too. From what you say here, it sounds like a serious potassium deprivation, caused from the diurectics and severe food restriction.  That is not necesary to do in order to lose weight!!!! I cannot think of a single diagnosis that would not benefit from making sure you have 2 1/2 cups veggies and 1 c fruit every day, plus whole grains, lowfat dairy, healthy fats and lean meats.  In this wls world, it gets confusing because actually most doctors have very little nutrition training. I was shocked to learn that the rare MD has more than 2 nutrition classes! A registered dietician has most classes that an MD will have plus extremely technical nutrition classes.  An RD would advise you to simply make sure you have at least three meals and one healthy snack with the above items. Chances are, you would lose weight doing that in a safe way and learn how to eat correctly forever! Check out mypyramid.com and plug in personal information. the kicker is to learn what the actual portions are:  one slice of bread (15 grams), 1/2 c rice or pasta, etc.  best of luck, come back and tell us how it's going!!!!
