how to weigh...

This is kind of an embarassing question...I am the type of person who, when I'm dieting or eating healthy I like to know what I weigh. The problem is, is that I weigh too much for my scale to read. It reads "error" which is pretty disheartening.... Other than going to the doctor (which I try not to do much-I don't have insurance and it gets expensive) I dont' really have a way to keep track of my loss. Does anyone have any ideas of how I could weigh myself?? I've even thought of standing on a truck scale at a weigh station....but I dont' think that would be good for my self esteem.
Hi there. I don't have a scale to weigh on so I go to Target or some other store and weigh on the scales there. Would your doctors office charge you to come in and just weigh yourself?. I do that sometimes too. I just stop by my doctors office whenever I'm in the area and ask the girl at the counter if I can use the scale and she says sure. I go in weigh myself, stay out of everyones way and leave. Try asking them if you could do that. Hope this helps.
I have the same problem and I weigh in at the local weight loss center. They have a scale that goes up to 600 pounds and allow me just to come in an weigh on it. A few months back I was asking the same question and someone emailed me to mention that they had a heavy friend that weighed in on the scales at one of the local supermarkets, alot of businesses have heavy duty scales. Lastly, if you have the money to invest, you can get a scale that handles up to 1000 lbs from Amazon for about $250. I can send you the link if you're interested and you can't find it yourself.
