Update
Ok, so this is my update. I am down 13 pounds since my consult in February?????January. Anyway its been a minute. Im glad that Im not up but clearly I have not been on my ball. Exercise- almost nill again. I am so pitiful. I am happy that I can laugh at myself but very disappointed that I cant seem to stick to things. I tried the walk away the pounds dvd. barely made it 15 minutes. Normally I would have tried again but I got a cramp in my side and went awol. That was almost two weeks ago. Hello? Anyway am going back and forth with LA Weightloss to release my notes to my doctor. They are talking about they dont usually do this and blah blah blah. Whatever. Someone in the country on LA Weightloss had WLS surgery before and needed the notes for insurance. So Im still waiting for them to stop procrastinating and give me what I want. I tried one of those detox drinks that is supposed to clean your system out.... That was Sunday... still waiting...... My sister's colonic lady gave her this eliminator detox 11 day flush. So im going to try that to get my head back in the game and start to practice what I preach to the kids at school. You have to keep at it to get better. So saying that I will be back often to own up and be accountable for what I am and am not doing. Writing it down makes it sooo much more clearer. Thanks for reading.
13 lbs. is not pitiful, that's great. I've been trying to do this since 1/13/07 and haven't lost much more than that, and I'm doing two miles MOST nights. I kinda laid off a bit over the week-end, my 19 y/o daughter came up and spent the week-end, so I didn't do as much as I had planned. I've been feeling blah lately, almost like I'm trying to come down with something. B/T working 50 hrs. a week and tring to work out everynight, I think exhaustion just overtook me. LOL. I had to take it easy for a couple of days, but I'm back at it now.
What? 13# since february is great!!!!! i have only lost 8# since februrary. Talk about a slow boat to China. Hey, just try to establish your habit with exercise - go only 15 minutes, but make your self get up and do that much. You will be surprised that many times, it all you needed was to get upright.
I think you are the shizzy! you're doing great.
Heya,
I know we're all impatient and want our weight to come off as of yesterday, but unfortunately it comes off slower than it goes on usually...and most of us have years of damage to undo.
And has already been said, 13# is GOOD. I only shoot for 2# a week when I'm doing well with both my diet and exercise, and believe me it slows way down when I slack off on either one. So 2 months of weight loss for me is only 16#. Just remember it's a marathon/endurance race, not a sprint.
I wouldn't recommend "magic" cleansers/colonics...they don't remove fat or add muscle, and that's the only way to improve your health weight-wise. You've already acknowledged that you need to get back to exercising, and if 15 minutes is all you can handle, then 15 minutes it is. None of us started out doing 2-3 hours of exercise a day. We started with baby steps. Now it's time for you to make daily exercise a habit, even if it only ends up being 5-10 minutes...anything to get you in the mindset of an exerciser.
We're here for you, so check in often, and we'll all get through this together. :-)
