Hiya Neecee, 1. I think food is like a pacifier for me...so by constantly eating, I could self-soothe round the clock. 2. It depends on the situation whether I become aggressive or defensive.  I have a temper, so more often it would be charge forward (when I was younger, I probably chose to retreat a lot more). 3. Not quite sure I know what this one's asking, but I think any kind of personal relationship involves negotiation every minute there is interaction. 4. Science Fiction/Fantasy/Horror/Mystery/Romance/Action...sorry I like my genre fiction to include everything. :-) 5. The kids think they're being cute, and they will cook something I shouldn't be eating and then come waft it under my nose :-( or eat it right next to me.  Overall, the hubby is pretty supportive, but he often comes to bed late and brings his dinner onto the bed with him, so I have to smell it while I'm lying there hungry and sipping water.

G'day Julie Just wondered, have you read Diana Gabaldon's Outlander series?  I love them.

Heya,      Well, I've read the first 3 (or 4 ?) back when they were first published, but haven't read anything past the one where her daughter first travels back in time.  I loved them and really liked her style.  I was just in a bookstore last night and thinking that I need to figure out which ones I haven't read and buy them.      I stopped reading voraciously way back when I stopped writing (my first Bachelor's was in Creative Writing/Fiction), but now that I've started reading/writing again, I'm trying to go back and pick up on all the series I didn't finish.  And to make this diet related, I'm actually using reading/writing as a substitute for eating at times.  :-)

That is cool!  I have latent fantasies about being a writer someday.  Have you ever heard of Nanowrimo?  Happens every November.  i was going to mention it to you & Chris, see if you wanted to do it with me!

Hiya Neecee,      Nope, haven't heard of it.  Is it a writing program?  I'm thinking about re-joining a writing group, but most people around here probably aren't reading the kind of stuff I'm writing, so they'd have a hard time with a critique.  ;-)  Let me know the details of what Nanowrimo is.

  1. What is your “payoff” for staying fat?

I eat when stressed or when I feel like Im stressed. I eat in celebration and in pain. My full (overfull) stomach is like a soothing thing. Im not sure if this answers the question, but Im kind of like yeah im fat but Im smart. So its ok if im fat. How stupid is that?

  1. When faced with a conflict do you charge forward or retreat?

Hmm. I like the new beginnings thing. So I charge forward and then kind of flounder around in procrastination until I get stressed and then I eat and then I get down and then I start again.

  1. Do you think marriage should be renegotiated every ten years or remain a life sentence?

Lol. A life sentence? Wow. I say no unless you negotiated your way into the relationship.

  1. What is your favorite genre of reading material?

Im a sucker for romance and erotica. I need to know that somebody out there is having the BIG O. Lol.

  1. Does your family sabotage your weight loss goals?  How?

Hmm. Not really if anything they have tried to be supportive but I wasnt in the right mind to receive it and felt like they were coming down on me.

It will be okay in the end. If it's not okay.... it's not the end!

Hiya,         From your answer to number 4, have you read either of Laurell Hamilton's series?  If not you should try her out.  Both have heavy doses of sex/romance.  The original one has to do with vampires though and the second one faeries, so I guess you'd have to like fantasy/science fiction as well.  Let me know if you want to try them, and I'll check out what the title of the first one in each series is.

1.  Eating what tastes good, even when its not good for me. 2.  I used to retreat, but motherhood changed that.  I am more likely to charge forward now. 3.  I think marriage is for life.  Life or life sentence depends primarily on your point of view I guess. 4.  Historical fiction 5.   Sometimes.  Mostly by asking me to make/bake new and interesting treats with them.   I can resist the old standby's, but something new and exciting--a lot harder to resist.   My husband is great.  When he snacks, he usually does it away from me so I don't have to be tempted.
