Newbie....
Hi Everyone!!!
I am so excited to be here...I think I have been here once before but were going to start fresh!!!
I am 23 and have struggled with my weight all of my life....My highest weight was 420 and I managed to get down to 332...but currently 382.
My biggest struggle is the emotional eating, which is why I have never really considered surgery. I know I can do it...just a matter of will power. I have done it before, and when I fall off find it soo hard to get back on track.
With that I will leave you, but can't wait to chat with you all! Have a great weekend!!
Katie
Hi katie!!!! I wish I had been as smart as you - take this on now while youth is on your side - it gets even harder with every year that passes.
Willpower is fleeting, a game plan is the best thing that will help you. Cuz a good plan helps you not have to tap into will power. Done right, you should not feel hungry very often. Your tastes for junk will change once you realize how much good food makes you have more energy.
Take a look around, you'll see a plan you like here!
Nice to have ya here.
Hiya Katie,
Welcome to our little pond. :-) Focus on the fact that you are 38# DOWN from where you were at one point, not on what you re-gained.
I agree with Neecee that the key is a plan that will work for you. We have people on here doing just about every program (including self-devised ones), so start picking and choosing from things you think might appeal to you.
Is there something else you like to do which could substitute for food when you feel like eating for emotional reasons (sleep, read a book, lie in the sun, shop, exercise, sex ;-)?
Anyway, just let us know if there's anything we can do.

Hi Katie!
Congratulations on the loss! I know that you can achieve any goal you desire.
I wish that I had started losing when I was your age (I am 34) ... at 23 I was already 250+ and I was two years away from an emergency ovarian cystectomy.
We're all here for you.
