so i did my third session of couch to 5K today - it was definitely harder than the first two because i was tired and because i was hurting in lots of random places. but i did it, so i am proud. because of all my random hurts, my trainer made me do all these weird exercises with the foam rollers in an attempt to try to loosen up my calves and hip flexors. its kind of a self-massaging deal. she said if i don't do this, i could end up with plantar fascitis and be debilitated for a long time. so we don't want that! i might do the week one routine again next week if i'm not feeling more up to it. i am feasting on beautiful giant Driscoll's strawberries which are on sale at the harris teeter 4 for $5. i am strawberry obsessed.

Way to go.  What is plantar fascitis?  Sounds bad.  Doesn't it feel good when you work out.  Soreness and all.  You should be very proud.  I love strawberries too.  That is my favorite fruit hands down.  They are pretty, sweet and can be very sexy.  Have a great weekend.  Stay focused and stretch stretch stretch.

hmm i never thought of strawberries as sexy. but i like it! Plantar fasciitis is a painful inflammatory condition caused by excessive wear to the plantar fascia of the foot. The pain usually is felt on the underside of the heel, and is often most intense with the first steps of the day. It is commonly associated with long periods of weight bearing.  i feel good when i run - it takes a lot to really make me feel like i get a good workout. i can do an hour on the treadmill walking and not even break a sweat so its nice when i do. unfortunately (or fortunately) i have a pretty good cardio system and really the only next step for me IS running.

Hmm.. I've noticed your posts about the couch to 5k are "slightly" smaller than mine...  Am I the only one that rambles on and on about myself on this board?  Is it annoying??  hahah   It makes me feel good to hear that you've got some hurts and pains after week 1. I was the same. All of mine went away on week 2 but  that's also when my knees starting hurting really bad so I guess I just developed new pains.  Proud of ya! Keep it up and when I get better I'll catch up to you!
